Really loved this app for having no ads, simple and efficient. However, this is the second time I've lost all my notes. I typically joint down story ideas, reminders and even important information. The first time was, well, the first time and I figure I'll be careful. However, I lost my phone and had to get a new one. Despite re-downloading the app, it doesn't keep my files. I wish there was a way you can keep your progress. Like signing in with your email account or something.

I use this for my notes and everything is great, I like that there's dark mode and that I can organize my notes into folders. I would like if there were more formatting options like underlining. The one thing that annoys me is when I'm editing something at the top of my notes, it constantly scrolls to the bottom and is distracting and annoying to me.

~It was working well having minimum features and all, but 4 down to 2 stars because it has at times deleted everything on the file save for the file name. It needs to just save the file and end works on it and then just store it. Not erase it! If it happens again, I will uninstall and recommend others do the same and pass over this app to find another one! Fix the issue! Forget it! It didn't save a long work! Now I'm finding something else.

Update: As I have used this app I notice 1 significant feature is missing. The ability to specify a path to the folder where your documents are saved. I wish to *always* save to my SD card. Is there a way to do that? Simple. To the point. The only thing I miss is all markup language is lost from a website copy. Easy to use. No wondering why so many instances of things are open all at once as other word processing apps do.

Simple. Lightweight. Offline. Amazing. NO forced cloud connection, NO premium purchase, and NO ads. Downloaded about 4 years ago and still use it today. Huge recommend for folks that are a fan of no-nonsense apps! Only minor qualms are that there's no Find/Replace or Undo/Redo options, and typing responsiveness can suffer when a lot of markdown formatting is used. (But that could just be a problem exclusive to me, and as long as I don't use markdown, it's great!) All in all, I love this app!

Still my favorite note taking app, been using since 2016. There are occasional glitches such as the cursor disappearing and you have to close the app to bring it back up. Extremely rare glitch, but every once and a while a newly created document will completely dissappear. Back-up with Google drive has been a great addition with this newer app, however I wish there was an automated reoccurring back up function.

Really good app that saves your work automatically, but doesn't have a way to back it up. If I lose my phone, my work will never be recovered. Other that that, a really good app for writing that is also aesthetically pleasing. Edit: Years after I wrote that review in 2021, it happened, and I lost all my work on this app. I was devastated. Please add some kind of account feature.

Still my go to writing app a must have with each new phone. The only one tailored to writers that won't annoy you. You can finish your work and craft stories in peace. Super easy to use no unwanted exta pointless "features" getting in your way. I've been using this for at least 4-5 years. My apologies for not donating sooner I kept forgetting. How about a setting that we checkmark to remind us once a week or month to donate? I want this app to stick around!
