Don't bother. This service is so broken, if you simply remove this service from your history of past subscriptions, you will not be able to resubscribe. The TV and mobile apps crash often. And writing them with an issue via email will lead to a response which makes it necessary for a customer to go from page to page of useless information, only to find none of it helpful. If a company makes me jump through too many hoops just to give THEM money, it must not be worth it.

Could use some improvement. Currently, I'm not able to keep closed captions on all the time. I have to set it up each time I chose an episode to watch. The icon for doing that is so close to the the status bar that I often touch that, ending the show. Then having to restart the show again and then the process of trying to get subtitles again. A bit frustrating. Another improvement-a timer option so the show stops at 30 minutes or when it's finished instead of starting the next episode.

The app doesn't work well with Android devices - phone or TV. The app either won't load after opening and if it does then the videos don't play and if I can get them to play then inevitability playback stops after a few minutes with a "sorry unable to load" or playback error message. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, signed out then back in, etc and it will fix the issue temporarily, but I shouldn't have to do all that every time I want to watch the content I'm paying for.

Chromecast defective on Acorn. NEEDS FIXING. Tried to re-subscribe. Nothing happens. CAN"T Good shows but APP is a train wreck! Subscribed 2 days ago and in the middle of a show, cuts me off and tries to bill me again. 3 years after my first try with Acorn, App still can't remember where i left off, asks me if I want to start from beginning or continue instead of defaulting or having preferences. App is shitte. Why does it never get better?

I love Acorn TV. They have some cool shows I haven't seen anywhere else. Could probably put a little work into IT, though. Make the app more user friendly. I wanted to get someone a gift subscription for years, but could never figure it out until they recently sent an email. Even then, it was not really easy to navigate. I canceled the Google Play sign up, and went through a different email because of IT issues. Fortunately, once you are in, there aren't really any issues.

Continually get error code 2913-20000 and unable to watch videos EXCEPT I'm able to VIEW THE TRAILERS without an issue. How can that happen? This error code has been happening for many, many months. I updated today (03/15/2024) and there isn't any change😔 I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. I've been an Acorn customer since their inception, 2011, with Roku (before smart TVs really were available and affordable). I'm beginning to question the value if I can't stream on their app.

I love Acorn TV but the app needs work. My internet connection is not the best. It's an issue with the ISP, not my equipment. The video quality for Acorn is jittery if I watch it on my laptop, so I usually watch it on the app. When the connection fails, I get an error message and have to reload the episode. It doesn't give me an option to go directly to where I left off. They need to fix the buffering and the issue with it not saving my place. I do not have these problems with most of the other streaming services I use.

I qould give it a five star however, playing it on Roku it has a few cliches. Loading takes a long time. Same with forward or backward. Either it doesn't do it right away or it stops before it continues. Often Taking up to half a minute before it responds. Other times it would stop when starting a movie and goes straight back to the Roku home page. Happens several times before it continues. Otherwise delightful entertainment.
