اللعبة ببساطة هي عبارة عن لعبة جماعية بين الاصدقاء تتكون من 4 او 5 لاعبين واداة جلد.

يأخذ اللاعبين ادوار الشخصيات (حاكم-جلاد-لص-مُفتش) في حال كانت 4 لاعبين اما ان كانت 5 لاعبين فهم (حاكم-جلاد-لص-حمار-مُفتش).

تبدا اللعبة ويتم توزيع الادوار بشكل عشوائي ومن ثم يسأل الحاكم عن المُفتش ويخليه يخرج اللص من البقية وبالتالي معه فقط محاولة اجابة واحدة، إن كان 4 لاعبين مطلوب منه يخرج اللص من بين (الجلاد واللص) اما ان كان 5 لاعبين مطلوب منه يخرج اللص من بين (الحمار واللص).

اذا قدر يعرف المُفتش مين هو اللص بيحكم الحاكم على اللص بعدد الجلدات الي رح يتلقاها اللص وبينفذ الجلاد الحكم.. اما لو ما قدر يعرف المُفتش مين هو اللص بيتم الحكم على المُفتش بالجلد وبينفذ الحكم الجلاد أيضاً."
