The app, 'Anesoft Anesthesia Sim 6', is an off-line, standalone version of the web-based Anesthesia Simulator program. You must evaluate the patient, choose the anesthetic agents and monitors, control the airway and ventilation, interpret rapidly changing physiological conditions and labs, and interact with the surgeon. 'Anesoft Anesthesia Sim 6' includes 34 pre-written case scenarios covering all aspects of general anesthesia including cardiac, neuro, pediatric and obtetric anesthesia. You can rehearse dozens of emergencies including air embolism, anaphylaxis, bronchospasm, carcinoid, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperkalemia, intracranial hypertension, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia, pheochromocytoma, preeclampsia, and venous air embolism.This off-line version enables you to run case simulations even when you do not have internet access. You will not be able to save your case records, but otherwise the simulation experince with the off-line version is identical to the on-line, web-based version. Frequent practice with this app will improve your response to real medical emergencies.
