FEATURED IN: Forbes, The Sunday Times, MailOnline

eargym is ORCHA accredited and a UK and EU Class 1 medical device.

EARGYM OFFERS:

- Fun and interactive hearing training that helps improve skills like sound differentiation and speech recognition in noisy environments.
- A suite of accessible hearing checks that screen for hearing loss and make it easy for you to track your hearing over time.
- Bite-sized content on safe listening practices, noise risks, and preventative care.

eargym complements assistive tech like hearing wearables, making it easy to incorporate hearing care into your daily routine.

WHAT IS HEARING TRAINING?

Training targets our key hearing and cognitive skills to improve our ability to focus on the sounds we want to hear. This can really help with understanding speech in noisy environments.

HOW COULD HEARING TRAINING BENEFIT YOU?

There’s two parts to our hearing: how we take in sound through the ear and how we process it to get meaning. The second part happens in our brain and this is where training can really help.
- Wear hearing aids? Or use headphones regularly? There’s lots of assistive devices out there and hearing training can help you practise listening to get the most out of your tech’s features.
- Struggling to hear in noisy places? Training can help to improve your ability to understand speech in noisy environments so you never miss out on the conversation.
- Experimenting with assistive listening or hearing aids? Practise using your tech’s features in challenging listening environments, all from the comfort of your own home, so you’ll be a pro when out and about.
- Want to see what difference enhanced personalised listening, spatialised audio, and adaptive sound can make? Try them out with eargym.

HOW MUCH COULD YOU IMPROVE?

Most of us, with or without hearing loss, will struggle to hear in noisy environments. But this doesn’t have to be the case. Research shows that hearing training could improve your understanding of speech in noise by up to 25%.

WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEARING?

Our hearing is an essential part of how we communicate and connect with others. With 1 in 2 young adults at risk of permanent hearing loss from unsafe listening it’s never been more important to look after our hearing.

Research suggests that addressing hearing loss in mid-life is the biggest amenable risk factor for dementia - this means something we can change to potentially reduce our risk. With simple step-by-step hearing care, eargym makes it easy to look after your hearing health throughout life.

This is ridiculous... I saw this app in Google Play and downloaded it but there no indication of what it literally is (on Google play or in the app itself). It forces you to sign up without showing you what you'll actually be doing in the app or letting you try it first. I get that there's a 7 day trial that you can cancel but I'm not going to sign up for something when you don't even tell me what I'm signing up to do. The screenshots in Google play are barely anything.

I couldn't get out of the program, had to shut my phone down and wouldn't allow me to login without using Google! Not impressed! Previous Oticon On was simple to use and could log in using Microsoft, remember Microsoft, if they hadn't existed where would we be now? Uninstaling Eargym!

I'd been putting off getting a hearing test and this was a quick and easy way to do it with useful advice. The games are fun and I like contributing to their research. I feel like the training is working, I'm more aware of my hearing anyway. I did had a couple of issues and the team were quick to respond, seems like there are regular updates.

A free app that is not free... subscription service needed to use app once installed. Make it known that the app is not free to use. Incredibly annoying having apps that have a subscription service after downloading, feels like a con.

Useful to get some feedback on my hearing ability and I'm really enjoying the games. I struggle to hear in busy places and the games help. It says more games coming soon which would be good.

Had never heard of hearing health and hearing training before, never really even thought of my hearing. However I like playing mobile games and now I fee like I can play games that do something good for me. I wish hey had more games, hope more are coming soon.

Can't understand what is being said music is way to loud. This is not a good app to train a cochlear. Also very expensive.

Great app. The hearing test for age is cool. The games are a good way to test your hearing in different environments. People on here saying the app is rubbish they can't hear anything clearly need a hearing test 😄
