Honestly exactly what I want from a notes app. Would be perfect but I've had a persistent bug for over a year that hasn't gone away with updates : Every time I open a note the app takes me back to it's homescreen after a couple seconds, once I reopen the note I'm good and can stay on the page as much as I like but it consistently requires that I open the note twice which ends up getting really annoying.

Simple note is so wonderfully simple it's a pleasure to use it. Sadly EVERYTHING you may write is going to be stored in plaintext on the servers. That helps keeping the infrastructure price low and the service free for all. Yet when one reads the headlines today, I would want something less readily accessible for all. The portability aspect makes the offer even harder to refuse as I can magically access my notes from any device and desktop, even from the browser.

I wanted to give 5 Star but I didn't because I do want the developers to consider my feedback. The app is fantastic and user-friendly! However, I think it’s essential for the modified dates of notes to be displayed, as this feature is currently missing. Additionally, a history option that lists previous versions by their modified dates would be incredibly helpful. Also an archive option would be very helpful to have. Overall, a great app with potential for enhancement!

I used to lose a few edits early on, but Simplnote has become a lot more reliable since I started using it in 2020. Now in 2024 I probably have a thousand or more notes in it. I use this for everything. It's not a perfect app; but whatever problems it has are compatible to 'the best' note apps; and these problems are often due to changes and limitations that Google imposes.

The app is great for its intended use, unfortunately I worry if it is compromised or broken somehow. Without me opening the app or having the app open in any way that I can discern, I often get notifications that the app is draining the battery heavily in the background. I filed a support ticket a while ago but received no follow up response. The issue still happens on a somewhat regular basis and makes me want to look for alternatives for my note taking needs.

I have used this for years. It was great. Very simple and no ads but with tags and good search function and pin option. Lately it has become wonky. Curser jumps to bottom of note, words are repeated, very frustrating.

Almost perfect! Simple note taking app, always reliable unlike OneNote and the others. I understand the idea of keeping it simple, but maybe bold/italic styling could be added. Thanks again for this amazing app

I am moving all my notes from colornote to simplenote. I am happy because simplenote is available on all platforms. Keep up the good work and keep improving. A little more things needed to make the notepad great like the calendar. The undo option. Otherwise, so far so good.
