The BILT Toolbox is a collection of instructions to help you with home improvement, auto, and safety projects, as well as guides for basic power tools. Follow easy BILT instructions to repair a toilet, lay bathroom tile, paint a room, jump a car battery, change a tire, use a circular saw, adjust a bicycle, repair drywall, and so much more to help with anything adulthood sends your way.
We use the BILT Toolbox too, so if we have a question about something, we design an instruction for it. We welcome your suggestions, too. From personal experience we recommend downloading “How to Jump a Car Battery” before you need it because internet connections at soccer fields can be spotty. :)

Absolutely atrocious setup for instructions. Doesn't tell you the orientation for the part. None of the hardware measurements matched. By the time you see ANY progress, you realize that your parts are on backwards and need to disassemble entirely and start from square one. Just have a print out instructions and have the OPTION to use the 3D BS.

Atrocious, incredibly un-user-friendly app. I thought the product I purchased didn't come with paper assembly instructions and that I had to use this app. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get through the first step but the app kept unpausing itself and moving forward without me prompting it to do so. I finally found the paper instructions in one of the boxes and immediately uninstalled this app from my phone. Pure trash.

Used this app when I got stuck with poor paper instructions assembling a Weber grill. So much easier using this. I find it hard to visually map 2D diagrams to real life sometimes, so the ability to rotate and zoom on what was an impressively accurate 3D model was a good timesaver. Intuitive UI and uncluttered overall app design. Though I only used it for one set of instructions, the team who made this should be proud, nice work!

Fantastic for accessibility. Especially if you have difficulty reading and do better with being told what to do. It doesn't have all of the instructions for some items? Or else instructions are outdated for some items which leads to it telling you to do something that doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, my ex made fun of me for needing it to build things as I am dyslexic and have difficulty reading written instruction :(

Great app for assembly instructions. I didn't use the paper instructions one time. Tapping on the components gave details about where to find each part. The animations were helpful to see exactly how to complete the next step. It was easy to go forward and back if I needed to, and I could easily rewatch the animations if I needed to. Great idea and execution of digital assembly instructions.

This app is game changing. I don't say that lightly. This made what is normally a massive headache and worth paying a professional to do into a simple easy to follow and understand process. I love how you can zoom in and out to see up close which is what you end up doing with a paper instruction manual only you end up with a headache and your eyes won't focus afterward LOL

Incredibly useful app! It is really well done. My only issue was that it is overly sensitive to touch. I would try to zoom in or move to an area and it was so sensitive that I would end up not being able to fully get back to the correct visual I needed. Or it rotated so much that I couldn't see where I was supposed to be.

I was curious so I installed, jumped through its initial hoops, and saw it had my product install right there for me. So I gathered my tools and parts, prepped the site, relaunched the app... nothing. "My stuff" is also empty. Nothing to see now but ads for brands suckered into using this app. After installation I reinstalled to see how it compares to the paper, but this missed a couple steps. Also, the poly modeling/animation are poorly done; no wonder so many people find the views confusing.
