GAMEPLAY
Just like golf, the goal of the Play Nine is to take as few strokes as possible. Limit your strokes by matching pairs and getting a Hole-In-One. Take the fewest strokes and go for the lowest score after 9 Holes!
Each player is dealt eight cards with a discard pile and draw pile at the center of the table. To start the game each player flips two cards face up. Moving clockwise each player draws from either the deck or discard pile and has an option to replace one of their face up or facedown cards. If a player does not want their drawn card they may choose to flip one of their facedown cards for their turn. Players work to match vertical pairs of cards to reduce their number of strokes. Just like the game of golf, the person with the lowest score wins the hole.

While the game is fun, UX is really good, but the constant interactive multi click to close ads make it nearly unplayable. after every hole is a forced ad that the close button takes 10 secs to show up and seems to be fake as it almost always opens a browser tab, then you go back to the app, and there's still two windows to close from the ad. I get the need for ads, and the interactive game ads for survival are sorta fun, but the crypto and similar ones are just rage inducing!

It's not very fun when someone doesn't play and we have to wait for their 20 seconds to expire. You should make 10 seconds and if they let it expire more than once, its cut to 3 seconds. Each game takes what seems like forever when the other players are not actually playing. If someone leaves the game, you should win. Basically, get rid of all the down time during gameplay. Allow players to block others after a game. So we don't have to ever play them for taking so long to play or if they quit.

Love the physical card game. There is an element of strategy to this game, but it's mostly chance. I've won probably 1 game out of 50 online. It's apparent most players have auto play on, and the computer has remarkable luck. I lose by dozens of points every game. Out of curiousity, I set one entire game to auto play to see how it would turn out. Shockingly, after 9 rounds, it was back and forth, and I lost by a single point. 31-30. Computer luck made it a nail biter. I'll only play this offline

Love this game as I have the real cards and have purchased for others. But when did advertising pop-ups start being allowed in the middle of a game with other players? I'm talking full-blown screen ads. Plus it freezes randomly and you lose a game. Needs updates to fix play with friends as it can take multiple tries to get a code that works. Please fix.

Multi-player sometimes puts you against AI's that cheats. Pretending its a player. I'm a computer engineer, and I've got a decent guess on how the AI is programmed. which allowed me to record games against it. I noticed it that the cards its get are statistically impossible. I understand its hard to get enough players for matchmaking, but I hate the deceit.

While I really like the live tournaments, it is difficult to play in them without points. There are opportunities to get free points and even more points if you watch an ad, but I have not received them after watching ads because the ads freeze and the game restarts without giving me points. I have lost about 20,000 points this way. Otherwise, I like it.

Game play is exactly what you would expect. For a digitalized card game it is completely adequate, and does not need any bells and whistles or additional features. Unfortunately, the price is insane- $5 a month?! That's $60 a year- a full price nintendo game. Except, after a year, you can still play the game you bought, and this will keep on charging. Totally absurd, considering I was peeved to have purchased ticket to ride for $10.

It is a fun game, but the app is scummy. Everything is trying to get you to buy something. Either a physical copy of the game, no ads, or more gold to enter into to tournaments. Gold takes forever to farm, and gameplay never changes. Once you have played 2-3 games, you have seen it all.
