This is very simple and easy to use! I like that it's tied directly to your Google account so you don't have to set the spreadsheet to be publicly editable by everyone, it makes it feel more secure. My main issues are that 1) it only scans to the very first column, and 2) if any of the cells in a row have something, it will skip to the next empty row or else add a brand new row. The second in particular is a major downside since we're looking to be able to scan barcodes into already partially-filled spreadsheets. If I may make a suggestion, it would be useful to be able to scan into whatever cell is currently selected rather than adding a new row. Both of these issues give me the impression that it's coded so that it automatically creates a row every time it scans, so I'm not sure how doable it would be to be able to focus on a cell and then move down to the next row. Other than that it's a great app!
Um Ummm
Google wasted my afternoon again. I found this app difficult to use, as others did camers comes on instantly. App started taking pictures before I focused on the barcode. After the third try, I finally got all of the barcode. However, App never loaded information to the sheet. Wasted a whole afternoon, searching all over google for help. Of course, I never found any help. Google failed me again.

Love the app it's very easy to use and love that it inputs directly onto a sheet. Couple of things I have run into are that the camera for scanning will not zoom in or out which would be helpful in cases where a scanned code is not right in front of you. Also, the first and second lines scanned will sometimes scan to column B instead of the setup column A. Not sure why that is since it isn't consistantly like that. Overall very useful. Thanks so much for your quick reply and the update.

Buggy as hell, didn't erase history completely and no way to clear the remaining codes. Low and confusing Help guide, was never able to upload anything. Wasted my time with this bare bones good for nothing app.

The app works quite well. It's quite intuitive and is usually able to read all barcodes I've shown it. I'm using it to check attendance in my class. A problem I've run into, however, is that when two users are trying to use the same spreadsheet at the same time, sometimes one will overwrite what the other just wrote. Maybe it's trying to write into the last row rather than using the "append" method? This is quite honestly the only problem I've had with the app. Thanks for making it.

Very usefull. I was looking for a scan app that could merge data to a table for a long time. But storing the data into G. sheets was even better. Two suggestions though. 1. It would be nice to fill a second colum after each scan from a pick list to catagorize the data scanned or enter free Text 2. Also nice the possibility to switch between several Google Sheets? It be must possible to create the Google sheet within the app. Other apps I use can do that.

Non intuitive. I had problems with configuration. There is no option to locate Google sheet. instead you have to enter details. I made a mistake. When I scanned a barcode, the app did not record an easily identifiable error or suggest home I might fix the error. When I closed the app and later tried to fix it, it did not open with an option to scan, it opened with the camera on. I found it difficult to find a way back to the settings. I am yet to find out exactly where I went wrong. If others are using it without problems, no doubt I will eventually get it right. Sorry, it may (or may not) eventually work for me but the lack of ease of use for an inexperienced end user makes it difficult to give a good review. The list indicates it can duplicate code. Why not have a scan now button instead of camera permanently on?

It is a GREAT APP and does exactly what the developer says it does and is a great tool to achieve a lot by integrating with the Google Sheets offering and opens a plethora of options to DIYer's of the world. I would like to give credit to the developer for offering this as a FREE service to folks who are less technically inclined and wish to achieve a lot with the Online equivalent (IF NOT THE BETTER) of the Mighty MS Excel i.e. Google Sheets and i for one have become a great proponent of the GREAT possibilities that Google Sheets affords to the Personal users who wish to achieve what the Corporate world normally pays to get. Thanks Bong Cheung for this! Respect from India!
