The Intervalometer for Canon app allows you to shoot long-exposure time-lapse recordings by connecting to your camera via Bluetooth and triggering it at set intervals.
Longer Battery Time:
Bluetooth (BLE = Bluetooth Low Energy) requires up to 90% less energy than Wifi, hence your battery will last longer.
BULB mode
Set the exposure time on your camera or switch to BULB mode and control the exposure time directly from the app without any time limit.
Unlimited Number of Photos and Automatic Stop
Choose between infinite triggering or an automatic stop after a set number of photos.
Video Mode
The intervalometer also works in video mode and can be used to restart recordings. This might be useful for cameras that have a 30 minute video recording limit.
Alarm on Interruption and Automatic Reconnect
Sounds an alarm when the camera disconnects from the phone while shooting is in progress and automatically attempts to reconnect the app to the camera in order to continue shooting.
Continue in Background
Triggering continues even when the app is minimised in the background.

Thank you to the Dev. Really happy with the app now that theirs a work around. Does exactly what it says it does. Side note:M50 Markii was perhaps the wrong choice for this hobby.1stReview: Disappointed, I just bought this app trying to use my M50 mark ii for astrophotography. The app stops doing as soon as my phone locks (Smsng S9 Android 10) its REALLY impractical to use for long exposure shots. Especially if you're shooting sessions need to last 2+hrs. Great shutter button I guess.

Hallefnlujah! Initial testing confirms this app works with the M50. I've owned the move shoot move and this m50 for almost 3 years now and haven't been able to use it, because it won't use a normal intervalometer. Now, I read you loud and clear, an m50 isn't the first choice for any astrophotography landscaping, but I was on a budget. Developer; thank you very much! Will update to 5 stars when I get some clear skies.

Works great on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with my Canon R5. I know the app description, at the time I downloaded it, said it doesn't (didn't) support the R5. Nevertheless, I emailed the developer who suggested I give it a try and if it didn't work he would refund my purchase. Happy to say it connected to my camera easily and worked completely.

Took a chance on this app pairing a Note20 and Canon M6 to use for astrophotography. Pairing the camera is difficult at best and once it says connected the camera never takes any photos no matter what mode you put it in. I was using manual but tested others as well. Not sure how others have had success but I can't get this to work as intended at all. Also it lacks basic functions like removing the camera, it only allows add new. Ultimately, after a few hours off messing around, I'm removing it.

I downloaded this app on 7-30-22 for use with my Canon M50 mark II with android phone. If you schedule 5 pics at 30 seconds with a 5 second delay, it will start with the first exposure then wait 30 seconds instead of 5 sec calling it a second exposure then it starts the second exposure calling it the third and so on until the last exposure where it begins the exposure with NO end. The delay text line does not become bold print like the SHOT line does either. Refund please. Diane C.

Pretty Good Tool I just set it up at home, haven't tried in the field, yet, but so far seems to be worth $10. It was a little buggy getting my Camera connected (R5), but worked as described after. However, I have to "force stop" the app to get it to reset the counter.

In general it gets the job done, it's easy to connect once it's synced. The problem is that the moment I lock my phone it stops taking the pics (Huawei P30 pro). I tried enabling the alarm and it doesn't even trigger so not sure what the problem is. Kind of annoying having to put my phone away on top of some surface.

It works very good, very easy to understand. I found it looking tutorials in YouTube because I needed an INTERVALOMETER for my Canon M50 mark ii. I couldn't find another way, but thankfully it was worth the money (It cost around the same than a physical intervalometer for any other camera). The only thing missing would be to add a few more languages to the app because it's only in English.
