Sooo disappointed. Used to be a great free app but now it's subscription based. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable one time fee but having to pay a monthly(!) subscription fee? That would only make sense if I am a coin dealer or have to check a lot of coins every month. For the occasional test of a coin at the flea market the subscription price is to high. Suggestion: make a "pro" version that is subscription based and offer a "free" version that allows one to test a few coins a month.

Was free, now wants subscription. It literally just needs to do one thing which shouldn't even require internet for an app to do. So no. This doesn't require maintenance. It's always the same thing. You ding a coin and it interprets. End of story. I'll do a 1-time purchase, not a subscription. Uninstalled.

Used to be great. Updated it to the newest version, and now SO MANY coins are locked unless you buy a subscription. 🤬 Even bought a pocket pinger for using it. I wouldn't be opposed to buying the app but MONTHLY subscription? Very expensive if you ask me. So if I want to check ONE coin that's locked, you need a subscription to check it.

UI needs work on entering coin name/characteristics. Keeps clearing fields when trying to set a coin. Coin verification is opaque, just giving stars without showing e.g. a spectrogram with the peaks and expected peaks as some other testing apps do. The database is absolutely immense compared to other coin tester apps, though. ...and now it refuses to open saying it must be updated, but the update requires a newer version of Android.

The app did not allow me to test coins for free. It says subscription required. I selected "subscription" and it said there is a monthly charge. There was a promo code strangely pre-filled in but it said the promo code was invalid. I then went to the "home page" and it said free tests were supported. Also the web site stated $3.00/month but the app said it was $4.xx per month!. I quickly uninstalled it and went to another app.

A paid monthly subscription rather than a one off payment. Does not identify a Gold 4 Ducat correctly or is unable to as doubt it's been updated in the apps database as no green tick next to it to show the coins fineness,weight or diameter have been verified or 3 stars are available. Would recommend it only if it was a 1 time payment. The free section is quite good but let down by the subscription service.

Can't test any Australian silver coins for ping testing without a subscription. The 100 free coins mentioned by you are not listed on Web site, only 12 Gold and 24 silver. Searching on the app shows no UK silver shillings from 1739. Be nice to have UK as a country. I think a monthly fee is expensive and should be annual or a 1 off low fee.
