Only use this app if you have the Dexcom G6 CGM System.

Always know your glucose number and where it’s heading with the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System – approved for diabetes treatment decisions with zero fingersticks* and no calibration.

*If your glucose alerts and readings from the G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.

With Dexcom G6, always know your glucose number with just a quick glance at your compatible smartphone or smartwatch. For a list of compatible devices visit www.dexcom.com/compatibility. Dexcom G6 provides real-time glucose readings as frequently as every five minutes. Dexcom G6 is approved for children age 2 and older.

The Dexcom G6 System provides personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. Custom alert sounds are available, including a Vibrate-Only option on the phone for glucose alerts. The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off.

The Always Sound setting allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will allow you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Alerts, including Low and High Glucose alert, Urgent Low Soon Alert, Urgent Low Alarm, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts. Always Sound is on by default. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low Alarm and these alerts can’t be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped.

In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features:

• Share your glucose data with your followers who can monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection.

• Quick Glance allows you to view your glucose data on the lock screen of your smart device
• A Dexcom Clarity link on the landscape trend graph lets you easily transition to the Clarity App to view more information on your glucose trends

Wear OS Integration

• Activate the Dexcom G6 watch face to quickly access your glucose information and trend graph right from your wrist
• You can view glucose alerts and alarms from your Wear OS watch

The Dexcom G6 Android App is compatible with select Android devices only. Visit Dexcom.com/compatibility for more information.

I would highly recommend adding a phone widget that would display your current glucose readings as opposed to having the app constantly opened would be a very welcome feature.

Dexcom is a rich company but they can't afford to design an app that can work properly with Samsung fold / flip . Or they just don't care. Regarding your comment below: Samsung flip / fold is compatible. But your app is not designed properly: 1. Each time you want to see the readings on cover screen, you have to unlock your phone 2. You can't see the graph on cover screen 3. Remove the warning message at the beginning Dexcom, spend the money and hire a team who can design a better app.

Not being able to silence ALL ALERTS is definently something making me consider going back to libre. I don't want to risk ruining a wedding or funeral by having my phone go off because if I turn off my phone I can't see my blood sugar! Also I just realized that the ability to take screenshots is blocked in the app which means that when I remotely control my phone from the computer I can't access the app for entering in information using a keyboard instead of my phone.

In general it's pretty solid. I'd like to not see the warning EVERY TIME I open the app. A more guided process for new transmitters would be helpful since we only do that every few months. It would also be better for the UI to be less sensitive for rotated view. Finally connectivity with the Wear OS watch face is unreliable and not customizable.

I had no issues with the app until 2 months ago. Everytime I try to connect the transmitter, it's saying "Transmitter not found". I've done everything to try to resolve this problem (tried 3 other transmitters, uninstall and reinstall the app, + reset phone) and nothing is working. With great regret, I'll be going back to Freestyle Libre...

Not only does this app not work on many android devices they haven't communicated with google to block it appearing on the play stores for the devices it doesn't work. but today on my S23 which is a mainstream top device it Randomly said it "no longer supports the device". I did not update my phone so it's also not that. This is used for medical reasons and NEEDS to be more reliable. ((Update)) After uninstalling and setting up the unit and app again... got it working. 🥴

It's a 5 but no support for s22 ultra and I just upgraded lmao. Dexxie is super confused right now. It's running off Bluetooth through followers cause dexcom doesn't support s22 ultra. However, it I syncing the phone, just giving me an error screen. So I'm syncing over Bluetooth to a bricked dexcom app, where I have followers on an s10 with me, for the constant graph. Any expected releases coming??

Well, you somehow managed to make the ux/ui from the already bad G5 app even worse. No visual indicators for when you last took insulin or ate food on the graph. Alarms aren't anymore customizable. No visual indicator from the graph that I've had an alarm turned off. You have so much blank space on the graph that you could fill with info or options so that I don't need to click into 5 diff menus to see what I've logged or to enter info. This app took steps backward and I'm so disappointed.
