Only use this app if you have the Dexcom G6 or G6 Pro CGM Systems.Always know your glucose number and where it’s heading with the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems –indicated for diabetes treatment decisions with zero fingersticks and no calibration.* A core feature of the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Systems is providing users with alarm/alerts based on their glucose level.
*Fingersticks required for diabetes management decisions if symptoms do not match readings.
Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro provide real-time glucose readings for patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes every five minutes. Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro are indicated for children age 2 years and older.
The Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Systems provide personalized trend alerts right on your smart device and lets you see when your glucose levels are going too low, or too high, so you can better manage your diabetes. The Alert Schedule** feature lets you schedule and customize a second set of alerts. For example, you can set the schedule to match your work hours and have different alert settings during the rest of the day. Custom alert sounds are available, including a Vibrate-Only option on the phone for glucose alerts. The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off.
The Always Sound** setting, which is on by default, allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This will allow you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Alarm and Alerts, including the Urgent Low Alarm, Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alert**, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts**. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low Alarm and three alerts cannot be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped.
Other features:
Share** your glucose data with up to ten followers in real time. Followers can monitor your glucose data and trends in real time on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow** app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection.

Please stop failing at night and waking me up!! Just started last week and it is also running my battery too fast, making my phone physically hot. Newer phone and never had this issue prior, only use it as a better receiver as I don't have a phone plan for it. Looking at reviews I'm not the only one with recent failures, I wouldn't believe we're all on the same phone, which makes this an app/product failure. Be better and fix this!

Your app has begun to lose connection with the transmitter regularly. 5-10 times per day at this point. Luckily my omnipod actually stays connected but the app is terrible. I have to turn off my Bluetooth and back on and hope that it connects otherwise I get max volume screeching that I've lost connection. It was fine before about a week ago. Not sure what you guys did but you need to fix it.

When it works it.works ok. When it fails the failure is huge! Currently it is giving urgent low warnings, which will keep me up all night. I have tested every 5 minutes and find a 100 point discrepancy between my glucometer and G6. Every 5 minutes, I recalibrate, but the system seems to ignore the calibration. This is a common failure with the G6. I don't feel that as a medical device, it should fail this often.

Every one of my sensors has worked correctly, until my last one which malfunctioned the first day it was applied and every day since. It would give false readings that indicated that my glucose level wouls suddenly go from 140 down to 40 though I had not changed my diet or eating habbits, nor was I sick, dehydrated, fasting or any other external cause. Additionally, the sensor would suddenly lose signal for upwards to 1 1/2 hours before returnung to normal operation. Sensor is disfunctional.

For the last 6 weeks, app experiences signal loss multiple times a day with phone never being a distance from the transmitter where this should happen. Followed another reviewer's guidance to remove Roku app, which seemed to work for about a day and then signal losses progressively getting worse until today where I have had almost no connectivity to the app.

Resently it has not been working properly. I know it is not the transmitter because it connects to my Omni pod just fine but the app has just not been working. Besides this week it has worked flawlessly almost no errors or bugs. This has quite literally saved my life a few times that why it is so good in my opinion. One thing I wish they changed was when you go above 400 it does not just say "HIGH" and actually told me the number. Besides that, amazing app would recommend. 😀

Very poor compatibility!!! I am beyond annoyed. All NORMAL programmers use Android version for this, but not Dexcom! You must have a phone from THEIR list (few major brands), or it won't work. So I got a good TMobile phone with factory Android 12 (upgradeable) and now have to return it because I can't install Dexcom G6. Even though the system meets their requirements. Poorest software developers work I've seen.

Got a new phone on Saturday unfortunately app isn't compatible got S24 FE hope that changes ASAP. Maybe next update would be nice. Because it tells me when my sensor, transmitter are going to expire. Otherwise love it. Glad the app is on phone, but wish I could connect with it. Have to look at my old phone to know when it's time to change things. Will give 5 stars when this happens.
