The app is straightforward, transforming the camera field of view in a 112×64 array of "letter pixels" that is less of an ASCII and more of letterized pixel art. Keeps well with the 60 FPS refresh rate, and is efficient. Unfortunately, trying to use the front camera crashes the app.

pretty good i like that you can edit the characters used and that it saves the picture in a text file, all it needs is some more features like custom colours, ability to change the size of the characters ans ability to record video

This app is way better that its successor, which is the Vector Camera since the modded pictures are of low quality and doesn't even have the option to move/access it from the app's own storage since you'll need to share it first to an external device then send it back to yourself.

It's alright, but not true ASCII art. The photos in the description are as promised, so if you like those, then go for it. The icon with the lines is not realistic, so if you like those, then leave this app aside.

Awesome app. But is there any way you could add the ability to adjust the amount of characters used to create the image? I would like to make images small enough to fit in a text message if possible. Thanks!

One of the best ascii image apps. My advice would be to use a better interface for selecting photos.

Hi. I wasn't able to share once the picture has been captured. It always goes to landscape mode somehow Any workarounds?
