Android App Analysis and Review: Strikeman, Developed by Strikeman USA, Inc.. Listed in Sports Category. Current Version Is 2.1.64, Updated On 31/03/2025 . According to users reviews on Google Play: Strikeman. Achieved Over 145 thousand Installs. Strikeman Currently Has 1 thousand Reviews, Average Rating 4.3 Stars

The Strikeman app allows users to practice their shooting skills without the need for real ammunition. Using our laser bullet, target and smart phone mount, the app records the target and records the users shot scores based on where the laser hit the target.

The app is composed of 3 sections:

Section 1 – Training

The training section is the initial area of the app where the user can practice their shooting skills. Upon beginning a session, a warning screen is shown to ensure that proper firearm safety is taking place before beginning a session. Once the user agrees, the target appears on the screen. The user calibrates the screen to the target by using two fingers to cover the circumference of the target. Then, the distance from the target is selected and they can begin shooting. Each shot from the firearm triggers a laser, which emits a laser strike on the target, and the app records the score. Shooting metrics appear on the screen to show the user how they are doing during the session. This is accompanied by audio. Once the session is complete, all shots will be shown on the target and saved into an archive.

Section 2 – History

The history section provides screenshots, shooting metrics, and graphs for the user to track their progress. This includes average score, average range, total shots and total sessions. The information is presented on a histogram and a pie chart. This information is saved in an archive.

Section 3 – Settings

The settings section allows the user to turn on/off gun shot audio and voice feedback. Users can toggle the distance metric, selecting either feet or yards. They can also report an issue if the app isn’t working correctly. The App provides access to the initial tutorial to ensure that all safety precautions are being taken.

Just starting out... I'm guessing my lighting is an issue because it seems to think I'm firing about 300 rounds a minute when I'm not shooting at all. My indoor lighting isn't enough and I'm not in an area where it's safe to set up outdoors. So I'll have to order some sorta lighting before I can really try it. Only real downfall so far is my cat seems to like the laser... so now she thinks my 9mm is a toy... x_x

This application may provide excellent practice in the comfort of your own home. I have a 14 yard long hallway, so I set up there. I have found the ability to draw, shoot, reholster, and repeat especially valuable. But there are very inconvenient limitations on the basic application. While you may create individual templates for different firearms, you cannot edit the name of the firearm, name of drill, or the range inside of each template.

I used to utilize the "Itarget" system, but I found it to be a bit spotty with the laser and camera acquisition. Keeping in mind it could be a user error. Since switching to "Strikeman," the laser hits seem to be a lot more accurate, and the QR bars in the corner make the phone placement much easier for an auto lock system. So far, Strikeman is my preferred dry fire system to date.

The product is a great tool for beginners shooters. The app can be a challenge if you don't have the system set up properly. Makes sure you have a clear background behind your target "nothing that throw off the calibration"and correct lighting when using indoors and out. Once you have the correct settings..distances..and area to use Strikeman..You will enjoy the product, plus save money on ammo!!

I like this dry fire system a lot. It's easy, convenient, made well and priced well. Watching the tutorials was very helpful for the initial set up and use. Once you've set this up and used it the first time, it's smooth sailing after that, for all future use. Going to the range isn't always convenient or budget friendly and this is a great training tool to add in, especially when you can't get to the range as often as you'd like.

I was skeptical of this but my wife and kids got me a system for Christmas. It has been enjoyable to be able to get some "range time" in at home. I have a 9mm and 5.56 cartridge both have been great. I get an occasional error, but looks like the latest update addressed that issue. I have not done any of the premium features, the included features are enough for me.

I have both the Strikemen & Strikemen pro. They both work very well, to let you practice over and over your drawing and firing skills, anywhere you choose to at your own convenience. You can never get enough training on the basics, and these systems have helped tremendously. I definitely recommend them. Great tools to have in the advancement of your skills training.

Absolutely fantastic for both self-defense and competition training! I really wasn't sure about this and how much of a difference it would make versus just standard dry fire, but the difference is night and day! This is an absolutely essential training tool, whether you competition shoot, concealed carry, have a gun for home defense, or hunt... Or all the above!
