Surprisingly engaging. I wasn't expecting to keep this app on my phone very long but the puzzles are much more challenging and interesting than I anticipated. As mentioned in other reviews, ads popping up mid-puzzle that break your concentration are annoying. One thing the game desperately needs is a dark mode option, because the bright white background is blinding in some situations. Sometimes when I play this app it makes me sneeze uncontrollably because of the bright light.

First off, I enjoy the math puzzle aspect of this game. That said, I absolutely hate that it often interrupts me in the middle of a level for an ad. When I'm in the middle of marking or clearing multiple cells, it's infuriating and very disruptive to my thinking to have an ad pop up right then. Now I see that others have complained about this for months and it hasn't been changed, so I'm changing my rating from 3 to 1.

Listen, I like the game itself, but the amount of ads are really irritating. Ad before a level, during, and after, as well as after losses? Seriously? Since there are only 2 lives, maybe you could give an option for an advert for another life after a loss instead of shoving one in my face anyway. Whenever that happens, I just swipe in and out of the game to get it to go away. There are a lot of options for how to implement ads without interrupting immersion and lessening the quality of the game.

Why am I getting more ads the better I play? It was fine when it had ads at the end of the puzzle, but if every "genius play" I get an ad, that's just stupid. Edit: the balance is simple: no intrusive ads in the middle of the puzzle, only afterwards. If you want to have them during play, let them be banners either in the top or bottom of the screen.

I like the game, but I don't like the controls. I will stare at the numbers for a minute and forget whether I'm in pencil or eraser. For some reason, my mind always thinks I'm in pencil after a minute. Then I figure out a way to progress and tap a number only to discover I was in eraser mode. It's a me problem. No matter how much I try, I can't stop doing this though. It would be a great game if there were universal controls. Like tap for pencil, hold for eraser.

I get that free game devs make their money on ads, but interrupting a concentration-based game midway through a board is intolerable. It's my choice to deal with an ad after every board, if I like the game. As they have responded, I've raised it to three stars. I do enjoy their games, on the whole. If they change the ad policy to not interrupt gameplay, I'll go higher. No change. Now, an ad for extra heart, doesn't work, 2nd ad, click one #, "great!" have another ad. Gotta delete the game. Sad.

Not bad at first, but the longer you play the more ads get inserted. After about 10 levels they start interrupting each level to include ads in the middle of levels rather than just between 2 levels, it gets so bad that by the time I reached level 20 I was getting 6-8 ads per level and the game becomes nearly unplayable at that point

Game is as advertised, but sadly it's clunky and poorly designed. You have a pencil and an eraser tool but the game forces you to solve the whole puzzle in your head before using them, most rows have more than one solution but if you tap the wrong number you instantly lose a life, you only have 2. It's like doing a complicated sudoku but losing the game if you try and pencil in placeholder numbers. Seems pointless to me when you should be able to fill and refill as you go. But it has potential.
