This app is not very user friendly for people with not much technology nouce. Why would someone on a walking trail or 4x4 track or even someone touring this great country need an aeroplane mode to confuse things. The amount of battery power it sucks out of the phone is outrageous. When you log out of the app when not using it to save power you have to download half the stuff you have already downloaded again. I'm sure the app works well enough for people who understand this stuff.

Great app with easy instructions. Had been using Hema HN units for years and then Hema app but this one far better in my opinion. Love the fact I can personalise my waypoints etc. Great value and excellent tech support.

Started running Exploroz for the last few months and decided on using this over the others due to a number of reasons. Only app that has proper offline maps and better than dedicated map devices because of the ability to use Exploroz on multiple devices at the same time, with the same licence. Dedicated tablet and my phone, that I can use when going on a hike and not carrying around a larger tablet. Any hardware issues, can easily download on another device. I've had no issues using Exploroz

I'm obsessed with maps and I've finally found what I was looking. Tried a lot of different products before this and I have to say Traveller really is a smart and well thought out app and there really isn't a better set of maps to use for trips. We trust it completely and love the way all the campsites and pois are offline and clickable from the map and much better info than anything else I've used. It's become our travelling bible! Worth every cent and definitely recommend.

Bought because of the excellent reviews. However, at least on a phone, the maps are rather hard to see. Location names aren't shown well unless you zoom in a lot, dirt roads are hard to make out and the colour scheme is not great. Some tracks are dotted black and red? How am I to distinguish those from a sealed road (solid red) in daylight? While offline functionality is present, the default maps are missing a lot of roads, requiring the purchase of yet another map pack.

I would have to rate this app as the best navigation tool I have in my inventory. As well as trialling other phone based apps I have also owned a Hema HN7 since 2016 but it simply doesn't compare in regards to map detail, accuracy, reliability and ease of use (I spend a significant amount of time in the Pilbara and Goldfields of Western Australia). The developers are quick to respond to queries and are constantly improving/updating the system. ExplorOz have done an amazing job, thank you.

Great when it works. Enormous forum to explore for info. However, program stalls. Positioning can be innacurate, marker can be stuck in one place even after moved on for ages. Shut down and restart didn't fix it. Getting offline maps didn't solve it. Tracker is also innacurate, you'll find straight lines in between journey or it stops recording part way.

2024 Update: High contrast offline maps are easy to read and detailed. Walking track coverage also very useful. Generally accurate but not infallible. Updated legend feature to identify line types, shades and icons while in-app is excellent, thank you! Ideally need 2 GPS poll frequencies for on-charge / off-charge (so you can speed up polling rate when charging). Sometimes useful nav landmarks missed in new maps (water tanks, some comms. towers etc). Android auto support would be a gamechanger.
