Wonderful graphics & gameplay as usual. Found this one more challenging then 1-7. I'll usually get stuck here or there & take a break, when I come back I can usually work thru it. This is the first time I couldn't figure it out, even enlisted my husband & son, finally I had to seek a walkthrough to get unstuck. Also, it lacked the details & clues in the journal which was very useful reference for getting interupted during the dialogue or having too long a break. Otherwise very enjoyable.

Sadly, the series continues to get worse regarding some features. Clues aren't recorded in the journal anymore, and most puzzles reset if you back out. You can't pick up items until they are triggered as being needed. Touch response was godawful. I almost ragequit the greenhouse door puzzle because it would never move the correct piece. The dialog that lingers forever unless you click the tiny x is annoying and dialog w task info won't repeat.

I'd give it 5 stars, except it leaves too many locations open, so when you find a new item you might have to search through 20-30 locations to find the next puzzle. Lord forbid you miss it and have to go through each one again with an even finer toothed comb. I can usually solve the puzzles without help, but use all the hints to find correct locations.

I usually love games from this developer, I've played through many of their series. I didn't like this one nearly as much. I think what I disliked most was: 1) Puzzle difficulty. It seems like there were a lot of repeats of puzzle types & the scene where you have to complete 3 each of two of the same type of puzzle was ridiculous. 2) collecting objects. You can't collect as you go, you have to go back to scenes once you need the items. Needless back and forth that takes away from the experience.

What a waste of a beautiful concept. You can tell the people don't speak english and nothing makes sense. Puzzles aren't fun but tedious because of the glitches or not being able to touch something you need to touch. You are using hints constantly for dumb stuff. Explanations are vague and there are no manuscripts to look for clues even when it says the hint is in the manuscripts. Stuff like that. I had to watch an ad for almost every action or step! Not relaxing at all.

The difficulty curve is thoughtfully structured, starting with simple tasks and gradually introducing more intricate problems, making each step feel like a rewarding progression. Visually, the game is stunning, with vibrant, detailed environments that enhance the immersive experience without overwhelming the player. The soothing soundtrack complements the gameplay, creating a relaxing atmosphere that encourages focus. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate.

I left 5 stars because I'm a fan of the series and the studio behind it. However this is probably the worst one I've played so far. Every small progress is faced with a riddle, and sometimes several in a row. I don't mind the riddles, but these ones are tedious. Not that they are hard to understand or require any thinking but completing them is tiring as they require lots of "grinding". I can't enjoy the game this way as I have to stop on an annoying riddle for quite some time. It feels lazy.

this one was lots of fun! I really like the lost lands series, and five-bn makes other really good puzzle games too. The grammar is sometimes a bit off, and some items can be hard to see depending on your display settings, but for the most part, it's definitely a moderate difficulty level. I really love the collection item mechanic, really scratches a good itch in my brain.
