I was disappointed that for each category of food, such as proteins, there are only 9 options given, 3 that are best, 3 that are great and e that are good. When you take into consideration that probably about half the foods suggested for me I either don't like or have sensitivities to, this is not enough, especially given how many different foods are out there. If you want actual recipes, you have to pay more money, doubling the cost for only 3 or 4 recipes.

I didn't find the informtaion from the test results interesting. There is nothing too detailed and nothing definitive. It's all very general and more or less what all health guidelines point to. It only gets as detailed as maybe your body could potentially need a bit more of this mineral or that vitamin. But even that is all about what you are predisposed to, and not necessarily a fact. I also had a consultation with a dietitian and that didn't add anything new either. Total waste of money.

App really stinks .. freezes everytime I open it to expand the details. I end up having to turn off/on phone just to get it back to the homepage. Feel like the $$ spent for the test was such a waste since I can't even view it properly of their sham app. In addition, it took so long to get the results back. Not impressed AT ALL.

I enjoy all of the information that this app provides! Wonderful content and has helped me in making decisions to establish better eating habits. It would be wonderful if the app could eventually develop into a food journal, exercise log, recipes, etc, much like what My Fitness Pal app offers! I use My Fitness Pal regularly to track my fitness/health/food journey and it would be great if the measurements matched the findings that GenoPalate has shown. Excited to see where the company takes this!

I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. When I first opened the app, the instruction part of it froze everything up. So I closed the app and reopened it and it works seamlessly. When I opened it a second time, no instructions, easy to use. I can't wait to get started in hopefully balancing my gut and feeling healthier. Thank you 😊!

Total scam! Gives advice that is the opposite of what studies indicate - saying to eat a higher fat diet when the genetic variant study says the opposite. It also claims some variants aren't relevant when in fact they are. It claims info is missing from your data file that is actually there. It's dietary recommendations are absurdly simplistic and even the nutrient breakdowns of food are so basic as to be useless. It's cheaper and easier to use than SelfDecode, but worse than useless. Scam!

I've always gone by the blood type diet for A. So it was very interesting to find out similarities but the DNA definitely overrides the blood type. You're probably thinking there is food on there that I cannot eat, but I've found that the longer you stick with the foods that you can eat your gut starts healing and you'll be able to eat those Foods eventually. Nice job on the app!

I was a bit worried about what I was going to see based on some of the reviews.... After receiving my results, I'd like to ask the people who are trashing this: what were you expecting? Geno Palate delivered exactly what I thought it would. Here's why I like it: They streamlined my macros (Carbs/Proteins/Fats) and identified genetic markers that indicate I need more or less of certain nutrients - very helpful and also confirms some that I already knew (like I'm super sensitive to sodium and should eat less daily and that I tend to test low for B vitamins). The food recommendations are based on your nutrient profile. They recommend foods that meet your specific dietary needs. Some interesting examples for me were in meats and oils... chicken didn't make the list, but lots of lean red meats (and veal) did. And in Oils, Olive oil wasn't there at all but cottonseed oil (no clue what that is) was and salted butter was as well.... very interesting stuff! If you are expecting a diet plan.... this isn't that. You need to know how to eat properly already.... this simply aids you in refining your food decisions based on your genetics.
