The EASY Companion app works with Giltbyte's EASY system to provide a simple way of completing expense claims while on the move, and uploading vehicle documents, using your smart phone or other mobile device.

Using the app, you no longer need to jot your journey details down in a diary, it's simply a few clicks and the journey details are uploaded to the EASY system.

With other types of expense claims, just enter the details and take a photo of the receipt - job done! The app will store the expense claims until you are connected to WiFi and automatically upload the claims to the EASY system.

You can now complete your expense claims anytime and anywhere.

We are forced to use this app by St.Helens and Knowley lead employer. As with most NHS systems, the user interface is clunky it looks like it was designed around 10 years ago and hasn't been updated since. The app doesn't work and lags at every opportunity. As a result, you use your free time to record expenses using the web interface on a desktop which again is clunky and looks like it's designed over 10 years ago. The irony being this app and interface is called easy and is anything but.

My system administrator has been trying for months to get a simple issue sorted out. I'm having too much mileage deducted daily. Also there should be an option to record actual mileage travelled as currently I'm being shortchanged about £700 a year due to short but ineffective journeys being used to calculate what i'm due. Any trainees being consulted about implementation of this system in your area - RESIST! You'll be worse off financially despite the system being pretty and "modern"

if there's an option for zero i would choose it but there's none so 1 star for worst app ever created! It is supposedly called an easy expense app but seems like it should be rename as difficult expense app... NHS needs to update this system its giving us a hard time instead of helping the staff get it done easy, fast and efficient.

The EASY solution would be to go back to a paper based system. Both the app and desktop solutions are clunky and unrefined and not user friendly at all. Took me 40 minutes to add several journeys and for someone who drives every day for work, this has now become and significant inconvenience, clearly not made for people who claim expenses on a daily basis.

So difficult to see anything on the app. I've pressed 'add device' with my laptop plugged into the work's network and it only gives my phone as a device and no option to add anything else. So hard to navigate - as everyone else has said its anything but EASY

Horrible app, we've sadly been moved over to this system in Southport Hospital. Haven't managed to successfully apply for one claim as although I've submitted all car documents the app states I haven't. So I have approximately 1500+ miles to submit now. I'm sure this app is designed to be so bad we don't attempt to claim mileage back.

No option available now for "select expenses type", so can no longer use this app, which is a great shame as I have been using it for over a year without any issues and it was so easy to log my business miles daily on my mobile phone, then just once a month submit them using my browser. Such a shame :(

Absolutely awful. Won't work. If you're lucky you can use it to upload your documents and then it won't load again so you have to do everything on a desktop computer anyway. Awful. It's a dreadful system anyway but not even sure what the point of the app is. Don't bother. I can't believe the NHS are using this system
