A complete mess. Countless useless options, yet no options for basic features. Trying to find something you have to go thru countless submenus, nothing is clear or intuitive !!! Nothing works properly !!! Schedule has start time yet no end !!! Schedule does not start thermostat if it's on off !!! Inept and incompetent people at goofle !!! Same as all the rest of their products !!!

The idea behind Google Home app is good, execution poor. We pay to have events recorded for later playback. Google Home app 95% won't playback video clips. It's the only app on my phone that seems to have a problem. If you complain through the app it is temporarily fixed for only 1 camera and 1 session. This has been a continuous complain now for over 1 year! I never had this problem with the Nest app. I can play any video I want on all other apps. This one fails the test and does not for.

For years, I have used this app and connected many Chromecasts to my TVs. About a month ago, I could not get anything to stream to my devices. I tried resetting them and to no avail, I am still not using any of my devices. I called my ISP and even reset my router. Nothing has changed on my end. It's definitely a Google thing. My kids are frustrated they cannot stream videos any longer.

this keeps happening every couple months, but Home suddenly loses all ability to correctly play any of my Spotify playlists 😒 regardless of reinstalling, restarting, resyncing the home app itself, the speaker, and Spotify, it continues to choose similarly named (but not identical!) playlists or songs, even after trying some very specific playlist names. it's extremely frustrating to start any of my routines and get completely random music instead of my curated playlists.

Horrific. Tried to setup a TV in the app it would never detect it because I had added it before and it never got added to a room so then it never shows in the UI. OH BUT IT WAS THERE. If I went back to rooms and tried to select a device it then showed up. Now I can't get my overpriced TV to just show some simple photos from Google photos in ambient mode. I've tried literally everything from the support articles. The fact that you can't even get Google apps/devices talking is just sad sad sad....

Was such a good app, and this version has so many bugs! First of all, presence sensing isn't working correctly, and the app is switching to home when everyone is away. Second, all lights in a room are now grouped together and there is no setting or easy way to set them individually. Please fix. Update: moving to 1 star. Now video history sometimes doesn't load. Total disappointment Google!

Not responsive. Ever since the Android 15 update this app has been very unresponsive when calling for heat or changing the temperature. It takes a really long time (5+ minutes) to respond). This was not the case pre Android 15 update - the response was almost instantaneous and this app was great. Android 15 really messed up a lot of apps including messages!
