Honestly not sure why this has so many bad reviews, as for your options, this has been the best by a long stretch. If anyone can recommend something better, please let me know. But the ease of use and connective property as well as customizing connection format to best fit either compression or quality, so far is unbeat to me. I have been using it for years and some updates haven't changed it by much, there is still improvement that could be had but it's just by far the best. Hadn't paid a dime.

Update: it's completely broken... Update: just force stopped the app and one offline device STILL shows as online. How this passed ANY QA is beyond me... LET ME MANUALLY REFRESH!!! ‐------ The new way is unusable on a phone. Maybe it works on a tablet, idk. But it's so impractical to type on the host. The old way was intuitive and worked. It had issues, sure, but it took me seconds to ping from the host. Now, I can't be bothered, cause typing is horrible.

Absolutely garbage with the latest changes. The mobile experience is absolutely useless now. Where is the button to switch screens on my multi monitor computer that I'm remoting into. Google, constantly taking things that work and changing them for the worse for what, to fill some sort of prone t quota and keep jobs secure? Its the only thing that makes sense.

❌❌❌❌❌❌DO NOT UPDATE!!!! Used to be amazing and perfect for someone just wanting to control and view their PC. Only downside was didn't have a Functions keys or Windows keyboard combinations etc but I lived with that no problem. The DEAL-BREAKER now is Google using a web based method coming very soon instead of the current simple method. The current method works well!!! The web based experience is UTTER TRASH! Laggier Hard to see multiple displays Unreliable Will be looking elsewhere sadly 💔

Latest update broke the app. As many said, it was amazing, but now it's just unusable. Screen flickers between browser and black screen, and then it crashes. As another comment said, it was great and useful, why not leave it alone? You people had to mess with it, eventually breaking the app! I'll try to downgrade, but I'm now looking for alternatives. What a shame, used to love the app and even tell my friends to use it

This was the best remote desktop app in all the land for many years, the forced switch to web based has made it complete garbage. I used this every day, and now I'm back to just walking to my computer. It's much much faster to walk up the stairs. Oof. Its laggy on the app, it makes your computer lag more, the mouse now moves like garbage. Big sad.

I have to reset the PIN every time I use the app. How the %@$ is that for convenience?!? I can set it up and verify. Then, when I try to use remotely, no dice. Fails at exactly what it is intended for. Lamest app ever!! Must be at the terminal to reset!! Too many programmers rush to publish. This is a classic example. Label it BETA until it will work as advertised!! Should be a requirement! Last update 2019... you are not done, fix it!!

Love this to be able to log in on my computer before I get home from work. I use this app almost daily before the update. With this latest update, it has destroyed the UI. It looks like it is from my computer. I hate it. Should be simple and easy enough to handle. Even Microsoft Remote Desktop does a better job handling this. It doesn't require the use of 'Chrome' for it, nor does the UI not work. I have had the UI bug out 3 times in the last hour while trying to access one of my devices.
