I'm growing to like Adventure Labs quite a bit. At first, coming from a Geocaching background, I thought it might be less fun because it's less of a challenge but there's not really a comparison. Adventure Labs are more of an information scavenger hunt than a physical search yet like Geocaching they take me to interesting places I might not otherwise experience. Now when we travel I look forward to finding an Adventure Lab or two! There are other scavenger hunts that cost $ but this is free

offline support is abysmal and has led to so much frustration. you should be able to download and open labs offline then complete them later. as it is now, if you go to another app you risk the chance of this app resetting and then you can't start that one or another lab until you have service again. in addition, the app always shows you night maps if you have dark mode on which is annoying. I don't want night maps all the time

Used to work pretty good for me, but in the past month or so the app refuses to update my location accurately. I can be standing in front of stage and it will show me being hundreds+ ft away. I have to restart the app or even my entire phone to get it working again. Very frustrating at this point

Can be fun to play but... Eats phone battery. Is a pain to figure out which stops are nearby - can really only see one Lab at a time. Way more times than I can count, have been someplace I thought there's be a stop but didn't see one - but later found one in another Lab. Stops are tied to pulling up a specific AL, so you have to go back & forth btw Labs when you're in an area w/ overlapping stops. Defaults to huge search radius i/o user pref. This is horrible near large cities. Overall: PITA.

This app solves many of the worst problems of traditional Geocaching. No more lost or raided caches. No more stupid lamppost or parking lot caches. And no more rooting through hedges or poison oak. Each waypoint has significance - historical, artistic, or something. A limited number of people are able to create caches so the map doesn't become clogged with insignificant, uninspiring, unmaintained caches. All in all, it's a great app. And I'm sure it's going to get even better with time.

So, I want to like this and use it for a new locationless adventure lab. I used the app during an event in August when it was beta. Now I can't get the updated version regardless of how many times I uninstall the old version and try to install the new one. My icon still says Beta, and I don't have all the features it should have. Groundspeak is usually really good, so not sure what's up with this.

I think this app is a really cool premise, but I live in an area without really anything nearby. My friend and I have considered creating an adventure, but it requires us to have already gone on 2 adventures and have a premium membership. I would suggest allowing people to create their own adventures, until there's more trails and adventures in your library. You can still do the premium membership, but maybe use it for more professional/well-made adventures.

I've been geocaching for more than 11 years, and this app opens a whole new world in the game! Did my first Adventure Lab today, and looking forward to many more. The only comment I have to make is that, as others have posted, it would be nice if this app could be combined or inserted into the regular Geocaching app, as it's a bit awkward to switch back and forth between the two when you're doing AL's and regular caches at the same time. Otherwise, the name says it all... it's a whole new adventure!
