HangXun Nonogram is a kind of picture logic game that was first invented by the Japanese in 1987. At first, the game was named after "お絵かきロジック", which means "drawing logic". Now Nonogram is known as nomogram, pictogram, Hanjie, Griddlers, Picross, Japanese Crosswords, Japanese Puzzles, Pic-a-Pix, "Paint by numbers" and other names.
Nonogram game starts with tens of blank cells in a N x M grid, and these blank cells must be colored or left blank according to numbers at the side of the grid to reveal a hidden picture. In this puzzle type, the numbers are a form of discrete tomography that measures how many unbroken lines of filled-in squares there are in any given row or column. For example, a clue of "3 6 2" would mean there are sets of three, six, and two filled squares, in that order, with at least one blank square between successive sets.

I've been looking for a nonogram app for months and this one finally is usable; individual puzzles, black and white and also color ones, no stupid life systems, non-intrusive or overbearing ads, etc etc. Its great. BUT there is a huge problem: the app is much too quick to tell you if you're right, which means you can much too easily accidentally guess and check. Like there are in game spoilers to the puzzles and thats super frustrating

This is the best nonogram app I've found so far. Puzzles are hard, but not impossible, I can choose my difficulty at any time (no need to 'progress' through the puzzles in a specific order, and the ads are not very intrusive. Only complaint is that I can't stop a puzzle, play a different one and then come back to the first puzzle - it resets my progress.

This game has a life system which can be turned off, which is preferable, but it also doesn't have "solvable" levels, by which I mean process of elimination doesn't reveal an obvious next move. I assume this is to promote you wanting to turn the life system or auto-correct back on, but it doesn't make for very interesting game play when your options become either cheat, or guess vs just being thorough. I don't like the way this is put together.

I want more competitions and challenges! The game is entertaining, but it still needs something challenging. I think it will be great if you clear a map without a mistake you get a golden cup, and a sliver cup with 1 mistake, and bronze with 2 mistakes, and if you cleared the level after you use the ad you just get a medal. I think this will make the game more competitive and challenging

It's like logic puzzle x crossword with numbers x sudoku. This version is great. Unlike others, can start from harder puzzles by choosing them, tells me when mistake (pro tip: hit second chance when you make more than 3), auto fills in x's when #s in line complete, huge selection with variety of grid sizes, plus zoom, 2 ways to mark boxes. It only grays out numbers you have completed when in sequence from top/bottom/side. Causes mistakes when I forget I already finished a # in middle.

I appreciate that the ads are not 30 second menaces and can be quickly tapped away. A vibrate setting and/or a redo button would be nice, but it isn't necessary by any means. I also wish that there was an option to pay for ad removal... Rarely do I actually WANT to purchase such an option in an app, so this app is honestly something special.

Have you played picross/nonograms? Their difficulty doesn't scale using RNG, rather, they can be solved completely without guessing or just randomly filling them in. If you enjoy puzzles, crossword puzzles, love logic based stuff etc, play these. I suggest downloading several of them. If you're having issues learning how to play well, get some with a smaller grid, like 8×8. Even when you're used to them they don't become boring & you still feel accomplishment after solving one. Try, it's free.

i played this game a lot in highschool, but my boyfriend at the time made fun of me for playing it. after we broke up i tried so hard to find it again, but none of the other apps were nearly as good. i finally found it again, and now i have a girlfriend who supports me in my nonogram obsession 🫶
