I haven't had the instant ink subscription in some time. Decided to resubscribe, and they charged me twice in 2 days with no easy option to dispute where it shows the charges on the website. Then, when I cancel, they say they will charge one final time on the last day of my subscription (make that make sense)? On top of the fact, they raised the subscription price. What kind of weird business practices are going on over at HP?

I need to update my payment method to be able to print, even though I still have plenty of ink... What? That's dumb. And then all of these subscriptions. One for paper, one for ink, one for HP+. Not sure if it's all in one bundled subscription or not, but either way it's annoyingly cash-grabby with all these attempts at charging you just to use the bloody damned thing. No thanks, buy a different printer brand, NOT HP.

App takes over and crashes phone. Cannot locate files to print from Google Photos no matter how many times I re-add and confirm they are there. Frequently fails to connect to printer. Help section is predictably useless: Make sure your printer is plugged in; make sure your printer is turned on; that's all we got for you. They've managed to build an app that's somehow worse than the hardware. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER 2024 update: Printer and app still atrocious

This App is absurd. It puts itself to sleep and won't wake up. Out of the blue, it scales down the page and there's no way to set it to 8x10 page, every other print job doesn't work so I have to open App, close it and try to print again or unplug the printer. For help, you have to put in your printer ID information instead of just being able to use the App to trouble shoot or do settings. Why is there no settings in the App except for 5x7 paper??? It's the worst I've ever seen.

UPDATE 9/22/24 issues from July still have not been resolved. I hate HP. UPDATE 7/7/24: worst app I've ever used. HP needs to go back HP ePrint. It worked. It won't even fully load showing My Ink levels. Takes forever to go to print preview. Then it won't even print. UPDATE 9/23/23 I got it working for a while but now it doesn't work anymore. Home screen does not even say it is ready to print. It says some functions not available. If I do try to print it just keeps spinning for 30 min or more.

Zero Stars if I could. Ever since the update, I cannot get my printer to connect to the App so I can't print ANYTHING. Its so frustrating. I've reset my router, shut off the printer, unplugged the printer, removed it as a device from my account, reset the network settings, tried to do set up again for the first time. Nothing works. The printer connects to the network just fine but it still says I need to "finish printer set up to enable printing". I HATE that you have to have an account to print

On the phone with HP, all the same complaints that others have about this app not working, or says printing but it does not print, or says the printer is unavailable. Everything is set up perfect on my end. It appears they either want you to pay an insane amount of money to trouble shoot the problem with their terrible mobile app or to buy a new printer, even though the printer works perfect on all my other laptops. They are a desperate company.
