Become a Premium Supporter to unlock extra features and support Ice Report!Instantly report lake ice conditions at your current GPS location to other fisherman.
Ice Report makes it easier to distribute information about lake ice thicknesses during the ice fishing season in Northern climates. Without this app users are left to scour the internet for forums or groups to get a report on ice for fishing. On the flip side, avid fisherman and resorts who help the community by reporting ice conditions can now post it for everyone to see.
New reports are dark in color. Any report older than 3 days will be marked light in color. Ice Report defaults to showing reports made in the last 7 days.
To use Ice Report simply login and check out the map. Keep in mind the Display Name you choose will be visible to other fisherman. If you are out fishing, feel free to submit a report by pressing the + sign and selecting the ice thickness you measured at that location.
The app uses your current GPS location, so please only submit reports while you are fishing. Premium users can place icons without GPS.
If the report is in the wrong spot, select your report, then press the Delete button.
Use the calendar icon to view reports submitted within a date range.
The lake ice data is submitted by users and there is no guarantee of accuracy. Ice Report encourages every one to be safe on frozen lakes. Check with your local Department of Natural resources for safety information.

No support whatsoever in regard to your account. Forgot my password and the app blocked my device, now my account is unusable and the app worthless. Nobody responds to email, and no other method of contact listed. Edit: I was contacted by the app support team and they helped me out. The app is still a little buggy and requires gps to work, but its definitely a useful tool.

The idea is good, but it needs work. I fish where there is no cell/data signal, so I can't report using this app. A good fix is to add an offline mode that logs the report and then uploads when you have connectivity again. A second feature to add is adjusting a report location so that you can report from home if you forgot to do so while on the lake. I understand the risk in that, so tag the report as one made via distance reporting.

Simple and clean app. However it depends on people posting accurate and honest reports. There are no checks to validate that the user is actually on ice, and they're not actually posting fake reports. If you don't have GPS reception at the location you want to report, and want to submit one later, you need to pay. That would not work work for what basically is a "Community Project" where users help each other by reporting. Maybe a one time small fee is more appropriate.

It's a really cool idea, but wish you could report people who are making false reports or making them on land and not water. I see many of the reports are not real. Kind of hard to filter through them. I see that there is a thumbs up thumbs down option but I notice that doesn't really remove the false reports. Also would be nice if you could filter not only by date but by how thick the ice is.

You have got to find a way to stop all these entries of zero ice. Its happening because people are trying out the app from the comfort of their homes. The last release if this app required you to be on body of water before posting conditions. Please switch this back or update firmware to correct the isse. Crappie Crushin Tv

This app has a great concept and the developers are willing to make changes as things are brought to the surface. I posted about the posting of ice thickness with no cell phone data and it was updated within 24 hours.

I have used this app for 3 years. 2 problems. People doing false reports. 1. They don't want people to go where they go, claim 2-3" in a spot, yet have a truck out. 2. Not measuring accurate. Claim 12" 1 day. Next day you only get 8". I only use early ice when people are honest. The descrepency is only 1-2" early on. 6" vs 8". full of false reports mid season by large amounts sometimes 4-9" differences. Wish we had power to delete fake reports. Everyone- 8" in area ... 1 guy-15". Use early!!!

There is no reason for this app to be pasting from my clipboard whenever I open it. Clipboard snooping is definitely something I will not support.
