Mosaic Art Lab transforms pictures into mosaics. It is a simple but powerful tool to explore, create and play with your photos.

This mosaic photo app includes 16 exciting filters (30 with PRO version), each with dozens of parameter combinations.

The filters range from the straightforward grids of squares and circles to randomly dispersed circle tiles, to criss-cross patterns, collage, vignette like effects or retro 8-bit style computer graphics. Each filter comes with many options. Vary the shapes, borders, shadows, sizes until you get the best effect.

Fun and useful software (as always from Ilixa/François). Very easy UI -- simplest of all François' apps, and I love the random ("roll the dice") features. Only thing missing is the parameter adjustments and real-time / preview-able tweaks (eg, intensity; effect-area mask; random seed; hue adjust; etc.) like the other "Lab" apps. I've bought and frequently use all the Ilixa apps... Bravo all around

Try out this fun opportunity to turn photos and drawings into interesting art, via various filters. Saves in a 1200 sq px jpeg. Ugrade allows for higher res. png. Very easy to use. Even the rare freeze reverts to where you left off if you re-open it immediately. Try the random mode for a slew of extra free filters. If you wish to use your art in an unrelated piece then the under $5 upgrade fee is worth it. No disruptive ads on base version with a Droid. I have upgraded a couple of his others.

Really love this app, its its originality in a sea of apps with same ol' filters or effects, is refreshing. So many ways you can easily turn any image look like very interesting art. I'd love to see more free filters, or extra parameters for the ones that come with it. But I will always have this app in my arsenal for inspiration, ideas or creating. 👍

Like other apps by this developer, this feeds my need to be creative and colorful. This lab adds an interesting benefit of random choices in photo used, filter used, and parameters used for the filters. If you like the result, you can save it to your gallery. If you like the filter and parameters so much you want to see them on other photos, you can save the parameters as their own filter under whatever name you choose. Follow the dev on IG to see some amazing artistic photos.

It's fun seeing what a normal picture looks like through the filters of this app. So many variations available. Make multiple different images from a single original. Mosaic Art Lab does what it is designed to do. It does it well. It's a great app.

Nice filters. However when after you upgrade and adjust the resolution / file format, it reduces the quality of the export. Not ideal if you want to use for making hd prints. 3/5 unless they fix it to not compress and lower quality.

I cannot say enough good about this, the most exciting photo app I have seen in ages. I instantly turned out a slew of fabulous edits and wallpapers with it. At least 6 stars.

This is really cool. The different mosaic effects are customizable and varied. I'm considering getting pro, but I need to make sure the developer can fix the issue with Mirror Lab, Glitch Lab, and Chroma Lab first.
