Keyboard Switcher is a keyboard selection application, it allows to switch easily from the current keyboard to another in several ways, thanks to a discreet floating button available on the screen, a shortcut, a tile, or a notification. This application makes it easy to switch keyboard if you do not have an effective way integrated into the operating system and the keyboard of your device.
Note that in Lollipop and later versions of Android, a long press on the space bar of your keyboard can make it easy to change. System-managed notifications also allow this change.
In these cases, the application may be superfluous.
Keyboard Switcher is opensource and ad-free, it survives thanks to your contributions and donations.

A good keyboard switcher app, but one problem: - When the button position is not locked, attempting to press the button tends to move it instead of opening the "Select keyboard" dialog, and it's not clear how it distinguishes between an attempt to drag it to a new location and an attempt to tap it. ...and three features I'd like to see: - An option to require a long press rather than a single tap. Because it's always on the screen, this is important to reduce the likelihood launching it unintentionally and interfering with use of other apps. - An option to have it only available when a keyboard is active - A "toggle mode", which has it automatically switch between two keyboards rather than launch the "select keyboard" dialog. A great way to implement this would be to allow the user to set a primary and secondary keyboard, and have the button automatically switch to the primary keyboard, unless the primary keyboard is already selected, in which case it would switch to the secondary. That way pressing the button would switch from either of those keyboards to the other, and from any other keyboard to the primary. Also, it would be great if in toggle mode there were an option to have a single tap toggle, and a long press launch the "Select keyboard" dialog. This could coexist with the first bullet point by giving the user a choice between requiring a long tap to toggle and ignoring single taps, OR having a single tap toggle and a long press launch the dialog.

Pretty convenient with a couple nit-picky issues. The app is stuck on one side of the screen or the other & can only be changed in settings - free-floating at least as an option would be good (and automatic placement by active app would be ideal). I also wish it would return to where I was mid-edit automatically after switching instead of me having to re-tap to edit (and inevitably missing the spot thanks to my fat fingers). Other than that it works quite well. Thanks!

Thanks for the app. It would be cool if there was a feature to switch keyboards in one tap, instead of having to pull up the menu and then select one. I have two keyboards that I switch between so I'm looking for a toggle button basically. Also I can't remove the default Samsung keyboard from that menu, which is quite annoying. Would be a cool feature!

Causes os problems, did exactly what I needed. I originally thought, Microsoft removed switch keyboard icon from SwiftKey on surface duo 2, forcing user to access settings to switch... I occasionally use gboard, to input w pen. That's not true, but the app did cause touch response issues immediately, so without home buttons it's like a screen freeze.

A for effort and appreciatian to say the least, technically launching this application will give you the ability to change your current keyboard.. however it's not the same as swiping down from the notification area and then tapping the selection from there. obviously not all of us have that we wouldn't be here- me personally that option is little cumbersome however it isn't always even there, so this still wasn't a total miss for me. i wish app link -> kb switcher

The biggest problem with one of my favorite keyboards, engineering keyboard by 5e5, is that it's a pain to switch back to a swipe keyboard for conversation as it does not have swipe or predictive text. This app fixed that problem and saved me sooo much time. Thank you. Seriously.

Is there is way to implement a single-click solution to switch to the "previous keyboard", which would then allow switching between two selected keyboards with just a single click? The current solution of having to click twice and on different locations on the screen does not add much value/convenience over the system built-in solution (in Android 11). Thanks for the effort though! Hopefully it motivates the core Android team to fix their currently poor IME switching UX.

This is the first time that I have voluntarily donate to a company without being asked to pay. But I failed as u did not accept my visa card from New Zealand, NZ does not even appear in your country list.... your app is so good that allows multilingual users to switch keyboards and input the contents without going through the system settings thank you well done.
