Hey friend! Welcome to Llama Life! Llama Life is designed to help you focus on ONE thing at a time (single-tasking), and to provide just a liiitle more structure (but not too much) to get things done.

We know you’ve been waiting (thank you!) and we’re super excited to bring our community the mobile app, to help you get through your tasks in the fun, whimsical way, that you know and love. It’s the same tool as the desktop version but adapted for mobile so you can have Llama Life on the go.

HOW DOES LLAMA LIFE WORK?

If you’re new here, a big warm hug! (Anddd, where have you been?!)

Llama Life let’s you set a countdown timer on *every* task. This concept is called ‘timeboxing’, and the idea is to create a (positive) constraint around the time we have to do something. The goal is to try and give a task 100% of our attention, until the timer runs out. This helps to increase focus, and gives us the mental space to think about ONE thing at a time.

Llama Life also let’s you know your total List Time, and the estimated finishing time, so you can be more aware of time passing, and plan your day.
We also love celebrating the wins, big or small, so very importantly, you get confetti (woo hoo!) when you finish a task. You can also personalize with color and emoji to get lots of variety and keep things fresh!

Llama Life offers a 7-day free trial, with a Monthly or Annual subscription.

We’re so glad you’re here, and are rooting for your success!

Let’s go!

Your Llama Life team, and productivity besties,

Marie, Nhi & Guille

What's New

Hi fam!

Happy New Year!

This update allows you to manually edit TIME SPENT on each task! Hooray! (we know many of you have been asking for this!)

Sometimes we forget to start the timer (or maybe we just want to adjust the time we spent). To do so, just tap on the Time Spent box (bottom right of a task) and put the new number in!

All the best,
Marie x

Love the app and Not Now list. Looking forward to hard start times, it would be perfect if there were seperate groups/blocks of tasks that you can change the start time for. Ex: a morning routine at 8, get home routine at 6, and night routine at 10, and still be able to add tasks into empty time around them (and see how much time I'll have between routine blocks). Visually could be brackets to the side of tasks or highlighted borders. Also I NEED audio reminders, especially 1min left, 5m left!!

Not enough words, so in summary, great app, great simplicity, good but not great customisability. Features I would like added: Create your own emoji themes and colour themes, set reminders for tasks you move to later, full screen mode for your current task. The only issue I've had, which was quite major, was the soundscapes not working. At all. I turned the volume all the way up but the sound doesn't play. That's the only thing keeping me from 5 stars.

I like it but really wish there was better reporting/analytics to see patterns (over weeks/months) as to how I'm spending my time and when I'm spending more time than planned, trouble transitioning between tasks, etc

Overpriced scheduling or to-do app that doesn't offer anything more than a number of completely free apps do. On top of that, you're required to sign up for their scammy "7 Day Trial" that requires you to cancel early to prevent automatic changes. Hard Pass! Update to developer: You won't. This is just an obvious and lazy money grab. It's disgusting to see your company try and take advantage of people's mental illness challenges, just to make a buck. Hopefully, Karma isn't too busy to find you

Fun timeboxing App with AI feature to split one task in many smaller tasks. The app does notify me in the background (visually) but the alarm and the nag feature don't work when the screen is off. It does not support a dark mode yet. Chimes stop when the screen is turned off. Else, great design and fun to use. Costs 40$ per year as of 2024

One of the best apps ever. I use it at work (admin office job) and in my personal life. I have ADHD and it really helps with my bedtime routine. I have been in bed BEFORE I planned for almost 2 weeks now (minus the weekends). Split screen is a lifesaver on this app. The support team is really great. You can ask questions on Reddit or send feedback and they get back to you so fast. Can't recommend this enough.

Oh my gosh, Llama Life+medication= the best version of me. The only app I have found that keeps me on track especially as a special education teacher in a classroom full of distractions, but let's be real it's a game changer during summer break too. The reminder bell to tell me that I am doing something, because you know...sometimes there is a squirrel.... genius. Lots of customizable settings! I feel seen! Not just another productivity app created for neurotypical folx!

It's a shame that it doesn't recognize the start and end times from the Todoist app. And it's a little goofy that you have to reset the time and you can't just type in a time duration for each task. I still have yet to see how well it handles new updates from Todoist. 🤔 Yeah, I'm just going to uninstall and check back with this later. The nag chime is not working. Once they import the correct times from Todoist then it'll be worth it.
