This was my go-to app for scanning documents quickly and easily, for many years. Until 2025 arrived and Microsoft automatically linked the app to my work (Teams) account, and now personal files scanned through the app are being uploaded to my work, and then access to view or download or share the files is blocked (unless I wanted to share them with work colleagues who have no business seeing them). Well done for completely breaking a wonderful product and making it useless to me.

There is no option to save pdf locally. The option that I found, one drive, is an issue to me. Whenever I access one drive, whether uploading from phone, or downloading from computer, takes way too long. Longer than if I send it through WhatsApp. Please provide the option to save pdf locally. Thank you. Issue aside, the scanning is working fine.

22-01-2025. Update : app no longer let's me sync files to OneDrive. It asks to enable "use Microsoft 365 connected experiences" within the settings (under privacy). I've enabled it and restarted app as required. But, still no joy. Used to work well, but Microsoft is now too busy killing itself with this 365 nonsense. Time to look at something else.. 👍

Awesome app for scanning receipts and docs. Unlike the typical app, it actually lets me edit the file name and shows where it's going to save it. It would be better if I could change the default location and sometimes the auto framing of docs is very jumpy, even with a white receipt on a black table... if there's a spot on the table nearby.

After 1\21\2025 Suddenly can no longer upload PDFs to OneDrive. Now, it's useless. Before 1\21\2025 Five stars Easy to use, uploads pdfs quickly to outlook, download anywhere. Now I use the Google Drive app, + New, Scan. It auto-names it pretty spot on instead of Lens's non-descript naming. Choose PDF or JPEG. Choose location (like My Drive). As simple as Lens, but actually can upload, save and sync files. This is why Microsoft keeps losing users.

I tried your new action feature, for which, I guess I installed the app, and it needs development, The text extraction is only possible with (very) high quality images, and even then it would fail to extract Numbers. And if there are multiple languages in a paper, it gets even more confused, it is not good at placing the texts according to their order. The last part can be ignored but other things are the problems you have to deal with, Like "Number Extraction" And "Quality of Images".

I've been irritated, after clicking some pictures it clicks blurry images, my 5 minutes working is converting in 20 minutes work, still the image is not clear even at the highest resolution !!!!!! Uninstalling and never going to use it again, it's frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah and margin adjustment thing is also crazy.

How are you allowed to have the name "PDF Scanner" without the ability to scan a god damn PDF? If I wanted to scan physical documents, I would search for "Document Scanner" and if I wanted to create PDF's, I would search "PDF Creator" because that's how language works. It boggles my mind that you can't search "PDF scanner" to yield an app accepts files in the format known as "PDF". Instead, we get a barrage of camera apps that accomplish what's built into nearly every phone in the past decade
