Great on the drawing board but it slowed my phone down, drastically. And I couldn't use my real location to let stores know I had arrived. Helpful but not. Finally, turned it off, ultimately uninstalled. Also, on a more timely note, I did turn defender on again but it completely possesses my phone. I couldn't get pictures from my daughter. This app is too intrusive. I can do good doing two-step verification, changing my passwords and being proactive with my credit. No thanks.

I have used this app for a few months now with no issues. It runs in the background, scans in real-time, and doesn't slow anything down. I'm still able to use every app I have on my phone with no issues whatsoever. To be honest, I forgot it was on my phone until tonight when it needed an update. (I do manual app updates). Microsoft scans your phone, computer (PC app required), the dark web for your info and so much more. VPN works great for using public WIFI and 5GB is included, all for free!!

Wow .... this is an interesting one. It was working perfectly fine, then it froze on a screen and was just dead. I force stopped, rebooted and did uninstall and fresh install and nothing. I get a black screen with the blue Defender Logo sometimes and other times just a plain black screen. I've tried everything I know to do and yeah we get nothing..... and yes I have a 365 account and yes it's frustrating that the app isn't working at all.

It stopped working with the Android 12 July security update. It reports that it's "Not Connected" and then says "Subscribe to Microsoft 365" after logging into my account it still doesn't work even though I'm subscribed to Microsoft 365. It says "Your Device is at risk Required permissions for device security are missing. Tap for Details". Tapping just brings me back to the screen that asks me to subscribe to Microsoft 365. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't help.

This app definitely does work and you won't question it's validity. It brings your phone to a crawl because its scanning everything. Even as I'm typing this the page loading spinny thing is going. 😆 Honestly, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or bad thing but I will say you'll experience a definite performance hit on your phone. Hopefully Microsoft will fix this issue in future versions.

Easy to use and it works on pretty much any operating system. Awesome protection for basic users. However, I would like to have more control. I switched from Bit Defender and miss the control I had over my device and other devices under my subscription plan including forcing updates, scans, and locating my family's devices as well as just being able to control more protection settings.

Disappointing for 2 reasons. To start, the app mysteriously turns off "Web protection" several times a week. I've yet to figure out what causes this. And it looks to me the notification icons don't differ between active and inactive. I've emailed the developer address here and turned in a feedback form with diagnostics through the app. To date, I've received no correspondence from Microsoft. There have been 2 updates, but neither have resolved my issue. As I write this, I'm using version 1.0.3911.0301

Too bland. Not to mention when I first started using it, it pulled 80 notifications of leaks from years ago that are done and fixed. Not just that, but about 80% of the leaks say "Unknown" when it involves a URL. But it's security features seem helpful so far. I just don't understand why everything you add to protect needs to be verified. It makes no sense to verify we want to keep an eye on something to make sure it's not leaked. I added more info but it didn't show up either.
