The Miiskin app itself does not diagnose your skin and moles or evaluate the risk of melanoma or any other skin cancer type.
The app is meant to be used as a skin checker & mole mapper tool and help you manage your skin checks, map, screen and monitor your moles, spots, freckles and other lesions by taking images, from the comfort of your own home.
Visual inspection of moles and skin can be a way to spot potential skin cancer early when it’s easiest to treat. If you have any specific concerns consult your doctor and get it checked for skin cancer or malignant melanoma.
We do not think that with today’s technology it is defensible to provide consumers with automatic assessments of melanoma or skin cancer risk.
Miiskin is not a substitute for any dermoscopic examination by an experienced dermatologist or MD.

Very disappointing, I switched phone and the application insists that I pay a monthly subscription fee to transfer my information over, can't even let me manually import my old photos.

Requires registering an account. It is for protecting your data in case you need to access it from other phone, but that is a premium feature, so that justification is not valid for free users, where you don't need that if the data would be stored offline . Also, they don't just store your data, they can use it for marketing and share it with partners. I'm rating 1 star for the free version. I understand that you can't offer all for free, but that is what I'm ranking, what you do offer for free

Didn't like. Immediately uninstalled. I liked the concept. I understand the need to make money, but I'm not willing to pay their fee. I feel the price is not commensurate for the service offered. The camera quality is bad, if I want to upload my own photo which is higher quality, there's that money grab fee to upgrade. It's only good for saving photos to check your status. You can DIY or use an alternative to monitor your mole's progression.

Downloaded, managed to dodge the default path to premium. Took a photo but that seems to be all it does basically. Was expecting an AI image NN, but just seems to track moles. Maybe it can detect changes? But nothing now, which totally defeats the purpose of an app as far as I'm concerned. If I want to track moles I'll just take photos. Totally pointless. Uninstall.

App is decent, however, you are required to subscribe to a free subscription with a credit card. If you want to cancel said subscription, you must contact support. I prefer self help cancellation. So lose one star. They did cancel my subscription promtly. Lose second star for forced subscription and saved photos only for paid subscription to app. Needs work, but I like the concept. Should have free version with ads and paid no ads.

Spent a lot of time trying to get the trial for the premium version and still couldn't. My bank has been verified, my card has been verified in the app without charging, my google, still can't get rid of that screen to go further. I just ended up adding a card again and again. Now I don't know if I remained subscribed and will be charged next month.

Not the greatest for photos. It's an ok organizing system for marking a set of skin spots you want to remember to follow. But photo quality in-app is not as good as just simply taking your own photos. Plus they made it harder and more gimmicky to take a photo so you have to get someone's help taking photos especially for anything on your back.

This app offers minimal usefulness. All it does is take let you take pictures of your moles over time and compare the pictures side by side. It offers no information and no tools to help compare (e.g. indication of scale). It also gives you reminders, but you can use any reminder app for that. I'm not sure why anyone would pay for this app, let alone on a subscription basis. Very disappointing that this app is officially supported by the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation.
