The purpose of the game is to build a continuous horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row consisting of 5 own stones in any direction (the five).
The game can be played concurrently by two players or a player and computer.
The players take turns to place their dominoes on the board. Each domino occupies two board squares one of which is marked as ‘cross’ and the other, as ‘nought’.
The first player builds the five of ‘crosses’ and the other, of ‘noughts’.
On each move, the player may place one dominoes on any board squares not occupied by the dominoes placed earlier.
The dominoes placed on the board remain on their sites till the end of the game; they can be neither replaced nor removed.
