✨ Core features of this App1) 🔍 Media Scanner: automatically scan all folders to find out all the media files, including those not in the media store.
☞ On Android 11 and above, You need to manually add the folders to be scanned.

ℹ️※ What is a .nomedia file?
.nomedia file signaling the media scanner to ignore media in the containing directory and its subdirectories. This prevents media scanner from reading your media files(image, video, audio) and providing them to other apps(Gallery, Music Player, Video Player etc.) through the MediaStore content provider.
If you want to scan all the photo/image/music/video on your device;
If the Gallery, Media Player always load some pictures, videos or audios which you do think are useless, redundant.
Then this APP may be what you need.
📌Note:
The main purpose of this app is let the junk media files(which we do think) don't show in some APP(such as the Gallery, Play Music) based on MediaStore. It is not a tool to hide files and protect your privacy, as files may be show in file manager APPs.
ℹ️※ How to use:
1. The application will scan picture, video, audio files from the MediaStore and file system, and then categorizes them by folder.
2. When a folder is set to "ON," means that media files in this folder will NOT be scanned by MediaStore, otherwise will be scanned.
3. In the list view, click the folder preview to view folder detail.
4. In the grid view, click the file preview can play the media file.
⚠️ Warning: This APP may NOT work on SOME devices. It may cause files to be deleted automatically on SOME Samsung devices. Anyway you can try it out. It's a good idea to try it on unimportant folders/files firstly.

As crazy as this sounds, this app deleted the media files from one of the folders I used it on. I checked in multiple file managers, with hidden files shown, and via my computer, and they are literally just deleted. So that's nice. (edited a few years later: This was on an old Android 6 device. I believe the files it deleted had obscured file names themselves, such as starting with a dot. I think it deleted them when I tried to disable .nomedia for that folder.)

The bottom of the screen banner advertisement gets pushed to the top of the screen, and the rest of the area below that is black, completely covering the app. It is unusable due to the entire app being covered by the ad and the black screen. Edit: After reading other's reviews, I saw you can turn on auto rotate and use the app in landscape. It seems like this issue will never be fixed since the app developer seems to have abandoned this project & years later, this issue still exists. It's usable

Does what it is supposed to do. However, 95% of my screen is blocked by an ad. Sometimes when I open the app, the whole screen is blocked by an ad. This is the type of ad that usually sits at the very bottom the of screen. Instead, this hovers around the top and has a bunch of black space below it. EDIT: Ok, I can live with the ads if they don't change. I have to rotate my phone and then the ad drops to the bottom, and it then gives me the option to close it. Then I can rotate back and use it.

Having ads in the free version is fine. I have no issues with that. But you need to offer an ad free paid version otherwise it's just a really anoying app. I would have paid for a adless full version, but that's not an option so. I ended up making my a .nomedia file and copying it manually where I wanted it to do the trick. Bad user experience overall

thus is a brilliant app. I think few users is not understanding what the apps for.. it's not for viewing a file, although you can... main purpose is to not show the files on device that you wanna keep hidden, such as porn, personal video , or pic , just incase if you watching some photos on your phone with someone, and oppps comes a private video on the next clip.. it will avoid that. but I wish there was one tap for all files to be off

Have to give permission for each individual folder. Update: in order to add nomedia file to multiple subfolders (such as in an ebook collection) you have to watch an ad then use the File Browser option. Not intuitive.

Not terrible and does something not many apps do, but has a lot of hitches: randomly scrolls back to the top in long lists, have to grant permission to same folder five times, and in bigger folders with many subfolders (like my music folder where I'm trying to hide 400+ artworks from gallery) it just straight up won't work and doesn't say why. Refreshes media store between every .nomedia application, annoying if you are trying to do many folders as each one takes about 5 minutes. Many ads.

Seems like it's 3 years down the road and the developer is still thinking of making a paid version free of ads. The ads being show at the home screen AND to unlock the folder feature with no option of paying to get rid of it is just horrible UX. However, it works, unlike most other apps that claim to do the same. ### EDIT: I understand that problems might occur eventually and I think it's fair to 5-star the review since the dev's response.
