Manage your files and folders on your smartwatch.
Works ONLY on devices with Wear OS.

********** IMPORTANT 1 **********
The new Wear OS 4 no longer allows apps to access system files or folders, even the user giving permission. You can only access image, audio and video files.

For Wear OS 4 watch users, the app will now open in the only folder where you can manage and create files and folders, including sending and receiving files.

********** IMPORTANT 2 **********
This app IS NOT A RINGTONE MANAGER!
IT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING RINGTONES!
It manages FILES and FOLDERS.

********** IMPORTANT 3 **********
If files aren't being transferred try changing the destination folder on watch.
Due security changes in the latest versions of Wear OS, for the app to work properly user will have to enable permission manually. On watch go to:

1- Settings
2- Apps & notifications
3- App info
4- myWear File Explorer
5- Permissions
6- Files and media
7- Allow all the time
**********************************

The app's file transfer is limited to files with approximately 65 MB.

Copy, delete, move (cut) and rename files and folders directly on the smartwatch.

Installed on my Samsung watch 7. It took a little bit to figure out but it works. The only thing that doesn't work is changing the notifications sound in the watch itself. When I try to go there it just crashes back to the settings. I believe someone else mentioned this in the reviews. I've restarted the watch and it still does it. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks! If it gets fixed, I'll change my rating 😊

Good concept but unfortunately whenever I select any file on my phone to be sent to my Huawei Watch 2 it instantly says sent successfully but nothing was actually sent. 2) Changing the recieved files folder location to any other location gives permission denied error on my watch. 3) Would be great to be able to see the root system files of the watch like other browsers for wear os even if you can't edit them. My Huawei Watch 2 runs on latest Wear OS 1.6 (As of October 2018). Update: it was indeed the permission issue the first time you run it. Enabling storage permissions manually in settings of the watch fixed it. Would be nice to have some sort of progress bar to show the length of time to transfer large files and ability to open mp3 files and install apk files right on the watch like some other Wear File Managers do. Other than that this is the only file explorer to date that actually makes transferring files between phone and Wear watch effortless 👍 So bumping it to 4 stars.

It does not transfer. The display on the phone says it's sending file but nothing ever shows up on the watch anywhere. I have rebooted the watch and the phone with the same results. Also, off of the phone there is no way to select multiple files at once. You have to select each one by itself to send. Very very inconvenient. Feels and looks very basic, i will continue to search elsewhere for a quality file manager.

How I got this app to work on my Samsung phone and Galaxy Watch 4: On the watch, Settings - Apps - Permissions - myWear File Exp. - and click the Files and Media to make sure "all the time" is checked. Open the app on the watch, click the 3 side dots & create a new folder in the main storage. Now click the dots again to access the settings of the File Explorer, & click the file path so you can change it to the Folder you made. Now, use the app on the phone. Takes a few minutes before it shows up

** EDIT** I originally gave 1 star but The developer contacted me with an hour of posting my review and sent me some instructions. I re-installed the app on my watch and phone, went into settings on both sides and gave it the additional permissions and it's working as advertised. Shows great customer service and response to critiques. Make sure permissions are set on both devices before opening. Open once on both device before sending a file to ensure setup is complete. May need to reboot watch.

I wanted to add some ringtones and notifications to my watch . This app was perfect . I didn't even install the phone companion app , just grabbed the watch version from the watch itself . It was as simple as adding folders to music folder then copying them from the music folder to the new destination folder , reboot the phone . Done!

I'm not sure what stars to give it. It was working great fir a while. Then as usual samsung decided they didn't want us making the stuff we paid for our own. The latest update put a stop to us adding our own notifications and ringtones. Oh it does upload and shows up but not in the ringtones or notifications place. Also You Suck samsung stop doing this. Hopefully the maker of this app can do a workaround.

I found a solution. For ringtone or notification sounds, you need to first add/transfer the track/s to your watch via the Manage Content tab on the Wear app. Then you can locate the track under the Music file in the myWear watch app and copy it to the respective Notifications or Ringtones folder. Restart the watch and the ringtone/notification sound should appear (whatever it was named as) and select it using the Wear app on your phone under Sounds and Vibrations tab. You're welcome 👍
