IMPORTANT: This application is for MegaSquirt and Speeduino ECUs *ONLY*! THIS IS *NOT* FOR OBD2!A complete, fully-integrated application for MegaSquirt, providing everything you need on your phone or tablet for beautiful dashboards, full ECU tuning and configuration, datalog recording, and powerful graphical reviewing of datalogs including simultaneous map GPS route. Support is for MS1, MS2, MS3 ( including the MS/Extra variants) and Speeduino.
Features include:
- Flexible multi-page dashboard that can be customised. Widgets (such as gauges) can be arranged as you like using a drag-and-drop editing style.
- Logging.
- Powerful integrated datalog viewer which allows logs to be viewed in traditional graph form, together with an optional map to show GPS route information. This datalog viewer actually shows data along a true time axis rather than on record basis, meaning it represents time accurately even if data sampling rate is inconsistent. The synchronized cursors make it easy to see exactly where you were on your route or racetrack corresponding to a particular cursor position in your datalog.
- Support for all tuning screens, including table and curve editors. (Some tuning pages are blank or unavailable and are work in progress; please email me if a particular dialog is missing that you want us to make higher priority.)
- MSDroid is driven by traditional Megasquirt .ini files. If the application doesn't come with the correct .ini for your particular ECU, you can easily add it.
- Carefully designed to support all device sizes from phones to tablets, with layouts optimised to suit your particular device's screen size.
- MSDroid is used with either a Bluetooth to RS232 (serial) interface or, if your device supports USB Host mode, you can use a USB to RS232 (serial) interface. If you have a device that supports USB Host and you're a user of MS3 then all you then need is a USB cable, thanks to MS3's internal FTDI USB interface!
MSDroid needs read/write access to storage to store project definitions, INI files, MSQ files and MSL log files. It will not work if you deny it access.

Been using this app for quite a while and it was good. A while back (not sure when exactly) there seemed to be a change in how it connects initially. Before it would connect pretty much no problem but since an update it never connects on the first try anymore sometimes I'm fighting with it 5 minutes before it finnaly connects. And it doesnt matter how either because it seems random whatever I do when finally connects. My laptop still connects perfectly every time so it's not at that end.

Could never get it to connect to my MS3 Pro Evo. Missing definition file. I've done research for hours and hours could not get it to connect to my ECU. (My laptop with EFI Analytics Bluetooth official adapter works perfectly, even shadow Dash Ms app). So thinking maybe It was one of those apps you need to pay to play, I went ahead purchasing the pro version hoping it would fix an internal bug with the app. Still no luck.. emailed the developer several times and he never replied..(8+ weeks now)

The app is fantastic when it works... I'm having a lot of connection problems that seems to be randomly... sometimes I open the app then the connection occurs successfully, sometimes the connection text blinks forever. Another annoying error: if I update my ms2 with my PC, when I get back to the app the dashboard freezes at "loading tune from controller" and here we go to the limbo... I need to delete the project and create a new (and keep not working sometimes). Acer Iconia Tab 10.1 via OTG USB

Great straight forward ms app! Love the tuning capability! The only serious negative is that it seems to drop connection occasionally and cause the ECU starting points to reset. i.e. warmup enrichment starts over for a second before recovering causing my AFR to go very rich. Not fun if your trying to record trend data at the track, which is why i opt to use the PC version in the car with a laptop. I've trie different bluetooth hardware all with the same result. It doesnt do this on the laptop.

I would've probably been stuck at work today, unable to successfully cold start in the freezing temperatures for the first time if I hadn't been able to pull out my phone and adjust my cranking enrichment. I don't care if it's not as polished as a desktop application like Tunerstudio, the app's a godsend and it's free. I used to be worried that I'd get stuck somewhere or maybe just stall repeatedly for a long drive because I messed up the tune, but getting this app set up made that fear go away.

A must hane for all MS owners, but some times it glitches when trying to navigate through the tuning pages and all the time it gets stuck when trying to view and swich between data logs. 05/01/2019 (update) since the last update, i cannot view logs anymore, and also i have trouble opening msdroid( i have to termnnate all apps and then open msdroid decause the app crashes 2-3 time before it opens and connects to the megasquirt) also, i cannot enter a value with a comma( e.x. 34.5).

I have been using this app for about 4 years, with great success. The move from beta to regular version helped make the app more streamed and easier to use. All the basic functions are there, and much of the fancier stuff can be worker on too. The support Trevor gives is very professional and is usually very quick.

The more you explore, the better this app gets. From data logging to full mapping, it also runs as a dash with multiple map selection etc. Fantastic. Only gripe, recently the gps MPH gauge hasn't been working. Could be my phone, or an issue with the app - unsure. Galaxy S24 ultra.
