This app detects metal objects nearby you by measuring electromagnetic fields using the phone's build-in magnetic sensor.
The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 30~60μT (microtesla). If there is any metal in surrounding , the value of the magnetic field will increase.
Make sure you are not around your electronic devices (TV, PCs etc. ) . This will affect the Metal detector magnetic field values due to these devices electromagnetic waves.

important!!!
The Metal detector detects only iron metal objects. Metal detector cannot detect gold, silver and coins made of copper as these object have no magnetic field.
