The Panasonic LUMIX Sync application software allows you to operate a Panasonic digital camera supporting Wi-Fi with your smartphone. With it, you can copy images into your smartphone, take pictures from your smartphone by remote control, and do more.

The following major functions are available with this application.
・LUMIX Sync allows you to copy pictures and videos from the digital camera to your smartphone.
・LUMIX Sync allows you to take pictures by remote control, checking the digital camera live view on your smartphone.
・LUMIX Sync allows you to easily register a camera (camera pairing) through guidance.
・LUMIX Sync allows you to easily make a Wi-Fi connection through Bluetooth.
・The photographic location (location information) is automatically recorded to pictures, which is handy for sorting pictures later on.
・LUMIX Sync, which supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi, allows you to copy images at a higher speed through a Wi-Fi router. (*1)

Unfortunately, it is not a professional monitoring app at all. I don't understand why panasonic doesn't include professional video functions like waveform and vectorscope. Also the Quick-Menu in the app is not the same that I set up in the camera. Instead it is using a default quick menu which is designed for hobbyshooting. The worst thing in my opinion is that you can't use the full screen. There's always space blocked by this gallery icon and the record button. I hope it will get updated

Worked fine but now it suddenly stopped working ... does not connect anymore. App freezes, screen turns black. Reinstalled: the app does not find the camera in the setup process which I have to interrupt. I relaunch the app. Nothing. I interrupt connection on the camera, relaunch Wifi. Nothing. I interrupt and relaunch Wifi BUT this time, I restart the app: I have to kill the app in the power options of the phone, because leaving the app by pressing "back" twice does not exit the app, although it says so. Now, it works! I interrupt connection again and try to reconnect by keeping the app running. Nothing ... Wow! There seems to be a strict sequence in which I should launch stuff for this to work. Very unreliable, very cumbersome, something you definitively don't need on a set.

Decent app but has some problems. Slow to connect wifi and if you have an image in the bottom right you want to select to pass to another device it can be difficult because the select box is under the button to select a rating - it can take a lot of patience. Also, when connected, pressing anything on the camera severs the connection for passing photos. In summary: it works but has a lot of room for improvement.

Samsung Note 20

It's a wonderful app and works very nicely with my Lumix S5. It's great for taking studio portraits especially because you get to see the image right away on a bigger screen (tablet/smartphone) Sometimes I get a connection to the camera and can adjust parameters but the live view of the camera is all black. Then you have to turn everything of and start afresh to fix it. I still like the app because it is a very helpful tool for untethered photography without a computer. Thank you Panasonic Team

This app is one of the best features of the GH7 allowing you to setup your camera and still be able to see what it's shooting, adjust settings and start/stop recording. The only problem is the app takes way too long to set up and only works occasionally. When it works this app is great but mostly it just makes me stand around trying to get it to connect.

Everything but!! So far this is the best app to remote control my camera, I can use the live view and do almost everything from my phone. Also has Bluetooth remote shutter... But, the remote shutter and the app is very sensitive, if you switch to another app good luck reconnecting back to the app, when I was taking 3 mins exposure it was practically impossible. Also doesn't have timer for the remote shutter, would be simple programming, I have to use a 3rd party tool for that.

it's very annoying to connect, Bluetooth connectivity is pointless, and the app uses about 2/3 of the screen to display and then the rest is used for remote buttons, could be switchable to a full screen display.

It's completely unreliable and connects if you are lucky. It's unbelievable that Panasonic have created such a poor app. Its not much to ask transferring photos from camera to phone but this app is unable to do so consistently. Someone should contact Panasonic and get them to sort it out.
