Technics app is good but for such a premium pair of headphones it needs more EQ settings. A custom selection is the way to go but only 4 preset EQs is just not enough. I think at least double that would be justified given the amount you get on other apps. Developers please take note of your budget rivals Soundcore and Earfun and how many preset EQ they include, around 20 which allows a more fun and personalised experience when listening to music.

I have AZ70 buds. The app is ok but needs a balance slider. The ear buds I don't rate them this is the second set I've tried and the sound biases to the left channel on both pairs with the noise cancelling makes it even worse. The volume isn't loud and clarity is ok. I got a set of £10 ones on Amazon that blow these technics away in every possible way, It's almost embarrassing by how much. Do better technics because you are being absolutely owned by some unknown brand at 1-10th of the price.

So, overall, the app offers better functionality than other earbud apps I've tried. However, there are a couple basic things that the lack of which is simply beyond my understanding. One, I can't change the apps dark/light mode, it's affected by the overall phone setting, which is annoying. Two - and more importantly - I can't assign the buds to adjust the volume by long pressing them. It only works with taps, which is the dumbest thing ever and the opposite of any ear bud out there.

Awesome app! Very intuitive! Need a couple things for the AZ100 buds! 1) When turning tha volume up and down, it like "cuts out" the sound and I need it to not do that and adjust the volume to where I want! And 2) Need widgets! Why are there no widgets??

Excellent app. A lot of options and the ability to configure the app. See to be a few competitor supporters trying to down just how good the az100 and companion app are. Beats my other buds by a long way including Earfun, Soundcore, Tozo! I like tech light/dark mode option.

Use these in an office, and the ability to switch between ambient and off (not just between ambient and noise canceling) would really be appreciated. I don't know why there isn't the option, it seems so obvious in my opinion.

I have the AZ80 and this app works very well. I've owned several ear buds and out of all of the accompanying apps, this is one of the best. Many are cumbersome or need a UI overhaul. One thing I would like is a widget to control sound modes, but also make it customizable for favorite modes. For instance I use modes, SUPER BASS+ and Custom. To be able to favorite those and easily switch between per song would be wonderful. Otherwise is a great app experience!

I bought the Technics EAH-800A a year or so ago and installed the app at the same time. Initially it had its issues but after a few updates I have found it resolved all the bugs and I found it works as of hope. Admittedly, once the headphones have been configured the app isn't really needed but that just goes to show it does its job well. In summary, I like the app and love the headphones.
