Procast is one of my favorite apps on iOS. Ever since I met the original creator, I fell in love with the idea of a podcasting app for the pro podcast listeners. That said, the Android version is still missing the killer feature I so much love Procast for - the audio cuts. The Android version works smoothly as butter otherwise, but without this feature, I can only give it four stars at the moment. Sorry, guys. Great work otherwise, and hope that my pleas will be answered in a future update.

I have been using this app for years. I really like it. I find the layout is really smart - the interface is intuitive ... ;) I think there are two buggy issues; the sleep timer setting is not respected and the player may stop mid queue; also, often the player will play a specific podcast, that is not queued, before it will play a requested podcast. I recommend this app to anyone, when we're talking podcasts.

It's the closest to a Google podcast replacement I can find, but some issues: 1) major: the inbox is only scanning a subset of my podcast subscriptions for new content.. I have to manually go into each one to help it remember.. Then it suddenly shows the new episodes in my inbox. 2) minor: no way to skip to the next podcast from the player.. Lot of stuffing around in the interface. 3) minor: just in general there are too many times I need 2or3 clicks to do something that should be doable in 1

This app does one thing extremely important when compared to other podcast apps out there. IT DOESN'T CENSOR. As far as I can tell, It doesn't delay, block, censor or deplatform controversial content creators like the "don't be evil" Google podcast app does. Of course you can change the playbackspeed (which is a must nowadays) and the UI is simple, which unlike other fancier apps, makes it EASY TO USE WHILE DRIVING. Finally someone nailed the perfect. non-intrusive, "you decide" podcast app.

Heard that Google Podcasts is going away, so I'm trying to find a replacement that doesn't require me to be a tech guru to make it work. This is the best i have found. Intuitive interface with the controls I need. I tried some of the other podcast apps and they had me wanting to pitch my phone at a wall. Not Procast. I like it. It does what I need and it does it well. Long may it continue.

I got this to download podcasts on wifi, so it would not use mobile data at work. I turned on the option to only download via wifi, and turned off background data. Despite this, to my great shock, when playing downloaded podcasts, not only did Procast use some foreground data, it used a lot, in two days 113Mb, several times more than even the wifi data for downloading the podcast. I stopped using Podbean because it had used 20Mb in a week. I can assure you I will be deleting Procast.

As Google Podcasts is being subsumed into the increasingly chaotic YouTube Music app (which currently has limited podcast functionality) I have been looking for a new podcast app and this one is clean and streamlined and really an equal to Google Podcasts. Streamlined and well thought out, with a developer who responds to queries. Great work dev ;)

Hey dev, I'm coming from your comments on verge comment section on Castro podcast post. Loved your app. Shocked to see it's as long as I'm using Android (since KitKat) but never seen it ever in searches or results. Lightweight and easy to use. Will be using as alternatively. I request you to promote & advertise a bit if you want some users to see what hard work you have created otherwise it will be oblivious as always. Bring desktop or web version for other devices. Add radio support too. 👍
