Prove and protect your identity with Post Office EasyID

EasyID from Post Office is the safe, convenient way to prove who you are – online and in person with thousands of UK businesses. It’s been approved by the UK Government as proof of identity and age (except for alcohol).

Post Office is already trusted by millions to help with their identity verification needs. Now we’re helping you do it digitally – quickly and securely.

When you need to prove your identity or age, your EasyID lets you share only the details you need to and nothing you don’t. Control of your data stays firmly in your hands.

With EasyID you can:

· Verify your identity with thousands of organisations – online and in person
· Prove your age online and in person (except for alcohol)
· Securely store and share credentials issued to you by third parties, including staff ID cards.
· Log into online accounts with extra security

Create your EasyID in minutes

1. Add a phone number and create a 5-digit PIN to secure your account
2. Scan your face with your phone’s camera and we’ll verify you to protect your account
3. Add personal details to your EasyID easily by scanning a government-approved ID document (a passport, driving licence, PASS card or national ID cards from any of 200+ countries and territories)

You choose which details to share with businesses or individuals and when. We encourage businesses to only ask for the details they really need.

Keeping your details safe

You can count on Post Office to protect your personal details. We use identity experts Yoti to verify your identity and safely encrypt any details you add to your EasyID into unreadable data. They’re stored safely on your phone, where only you can unlock them using your PIN or fingerprint.

We can’t access your details or share them without your permission. We can’t mine or sell your data to third parties. Plus, we’ll never charge you to use EasyID. Instead, we charge businesses who use EasyID to verify your personal details.
We are currently offering version 3.70.0. This is our latest, most optimized version. It is suitable for many different devices. Free download directly apk from the Google Play Store or other versions we're hosting. Moreover, you can download without registration and no login required.

I wasted a lot of time. It could not find a chip in my passport. Now I need to send my verified profile to a company that requested it, and the app would not do it! It just would not accept the scan of my face! 😐 "Sorry there was a technical issue" it says!..

Ideal for ID if needed, and saves a lot of faffing on. Pity it can't be used for Foreign Travel.

won't let me recover my info from Google drive, and by a similar issue YOTI won't let me store my recovery info on Google drive, support is useless, restart, uninstall reinstall create new account! Really whole point of storing on G drive is so you don't have to create new account, if I could give this 0 stars I would don't bother with it

Just started using the app, will give full review after trying out what it can do. This is an update to the last review. I had a problem when i reset my phone and lost all my details, i couldn't use my d-licence as it was being used on my old account, i git in touch via there error service abd now all is good again and i can't thank the team enough, if i ever lose my license this is all i will have to show my identity and so a big thank you to the helpfull staff

Ok app for proving ID/age. App has PASS certification (can't vote with it though). You choose what information is shared, so you can keep it to a minimum, which matters to me. I've been rejected 18+ items using the app before. I wish I had more options than a finger print/face/PIN as I'm not comfortable with the first 2, also wish I could add 2 documents (say a UK + Dutch passport), and one didn't replace the other. Finally, you can only upload Post Office PASS cards, not others like TOTUM, etc.

At the moment it seems that you can only share your details with someone who also has the app, requiring a given third party to install the app on their phone before your identity can be verified. This seems very awkward and limits the usefulness of what is otherwise a well-designed and easy to use app. There should also be a fallback for authenticating with a passport without NFC, in my opinion. I hope this is developed further 👍

Was quite daunting and lengthy, but worth it in the end. PERSIST!
