To access all of the settings options note that the settings can scroll both up and down and side to side.

To use the compass, click the navigator icon on the right, and the heading indicator will turn on. Line up the heading indicator line with any of the sun line, sunrise or sunset lines, and the direction the phone is facing is the direction the sun will be. The compasses in phones are pretty inaccurate, you can usually increase the accuracy by moving the phone around in a figure-eight pattern. You can also gauge the accuracy by pointing the phone towards the sun and observing how far off it is.

Permissions: This app doesn't require any extra permissions than what is absolutely necessary to function. It uses the Google Maps API which requires access to external storage and network access. Additionally it requires access to location data to show your current position. I do not track or collect any information about users of this app, but I cannot speak for any tracking or collection the Google Maps API does.

LOVE IT! Does exactly what it says + MORE. Fantastic app: clever user interface/data portrayal. B sure 2 check out his other apps, there r MANY useful reference & conversion/equivalency apps (this one, I use exclusively outside of photography, & not that often... BUT WHEN I NEED IT, it's almost a life saver! ) but the others are great for mechanics, engineers, do-it-yourselfers, etc.. Thank you so much for this, what a fantastic contribution. Looks like a great app! Have only just installed and used for the first time but I think I'll be coming back for more. Perfect for selecting a location to take a landscape photo before you set off and are disappointed that the sun is "in the wrong place"!

Fantastic app - very useful to photographers. I use this for when Pills is too complicated. Very easy to use. Shows sun and moon and milky way rise and set paths, and times, and a camera field of view planner.

Loved this app, until recently when it no longer shows boundaries. I really do love the app and continue to use it but if you're using Google and Google maps show state borders, why can't I see borders in this app? They used to be visible but aren't anymore. Why? If the state borders showed up, I'd gladly rate this app a 10.

Its about the best of ist kind one can get for easy use. does not need special explanations and covers all I need in the field or at home, with no ads, I wouldn't mind paying some bucks for it!

I've had this app for years, it's very helpful if your at or nearby the location. I really really wish there were an option to search an address or location though, it would be a total game changer.

Excellent. I am designing my own house and now I know where the sun is at any given time so I can plan my roof deck. I tried similar apps but this is free, simple to use and definately the best of it's kind. Kudos to the developer.

Great app. Useful for my work as a planning tool. I get to know when and where the sun will be in my face while driving. Also very much a part of me being able to get some of the best photos I have taken. I recommend this for anyone who needs this sort of information.
