Tech Notes

- For best performance, be sure to upgrade your Axiom, Element, or eS/gS chartplotter to the latest software. Visit https://www.raymarine.com/en-us/support to learn more.

- Mobile devices running Android 11 and a YachtSense Link system may experience sporadic connectivity issues. For best performance, we recommend updating your mobile device to Android 12 or later.

What idiot thought it would be a good idea to require internet connection to "sign in" in order to connect to your plotter?! + sign you out after not using app for while. Has nobody at Raymarine ever been on a boat? Once the trip is over and you're back on shore app is okay-ish, at least in comparison to prev Ray apps, so pretty low bar. Connection spotty, file transfers hang endlessly in "preparing file" no matter how small the file, remote ctrl likes to crash or severely slow down after a bit.

Never got past the login page. Tried password reset .... login just displayed a rotating donut for a few seconds and went back to the login screen. Connected to my Axiom 2 Pro with both Bluetooth and WiFi but no luck. Phone was a Samsung s22+, Plotter a Raymarine Axiom 2 Pro S 12" ..... very disappointed. Update: New Version works and does screen sharing. Doesn't work on my WiFi tablet though. Refuses to connect.

Trying to log in (which is the stupidest thing ever for a boating app) and went straight into a log in loop. I have used remote before and as soon as I get it to work Raymarine screws it up. They need a programmer who understands boating and importance of reliability.

when mirroring my screen, the left bar white bar is occupying so much of my screen and it's very bright when I want to see my screen in total darkness for night vision saving purposes.

App will not let me login. Keeps sending me to sign in page after putting in email and password.

It basically works on a tablet, but flaky. E.g. need Restart if you change to a different app. Useless on a phone as too small. Ray remote is a different application, No longer supported that looks like it has an Option for the auto pilot on a phone. But not possible on a phone with this app. Is way too small. Also, ramerine Wi-Fi is very weak, so need to be very near axium pro.

Complete waste of time for an Element - ties up your WiFi so you can't use the Internet, and you can't even do anything like mirror the screen, or a simple task like use it as an external keyboard. Come on Raymarine, have you ever actually used an Android device or a boat? All it might be useful for is their Lighthouse Charts, but since I don't use them, I have no idea if that (significant) part of the app works. Think I will be uninstalling again in a minute.

This is terrible. As a first time user setting it up and redeeming a chart it does not work on my Samsung phone, just sits there buffing, removed and loaded again, same issue. My Samsung tablet loaded OK and shows some available options, allowed to redeem the voucher to my charts, now I have to go back to the boat and try and load the chart some how. The same chart should be able to be used on other devises like Navionics can but this clearly states it cannot.
