I wrote this review in 6/18 and on 8/28/19, no changes to report. The app doesn't even deserve one star. This app for the most part has been an utter failure. Its performance is spotty at best. It frequently fails to open, it frequently crashes, and most features simply don't work. This is probably the worst app development that I've ever experienced. It would be of greater service to those who are interested in using this app if the development of this app was transferred to Google Maps. Clearly those who are developing this app are inexperienced or inept or both. That said, the concept behind the album is absolutely amazing and for the first few months of the app when it worked, it was an amazing app and was a complete game changer for me. I'm grateful to whoever conceived of the app. I know many people who were sorely disappointed that Waze decided to not properly developed this app. Many have simply deleted the app due to its unreliability. The March 2018 update began the nightmare. the developer keeps making promises that the app will improve. It doesn't. The lack of integrity leaves you frustrated and speechless. With failed updates and failed attempts repairing, no changes. 11/4/2019: I just got an email from Waze asking me to rate this app. In spite of many complaints, hours spent with their technical support, the app remains the failure-unfortunately--that it has been. The amount of good that can come from this app is amazing. It's the potential that I hope will one day be realized. The app still fails in all the ways detailed above. The app in its current state can be expressed most aptly by math: dung * feces * manure * road apples * Buffalo chips * stool * defecation = the current state of development.

As a driver, it had been a very easy product to use. I've found two "regulars" who are already on my route who I wouldn't have found otherwise. The interface and messaging works well, the Google Pay setup and payment of funds has been seamless, and I love how it tracks my carpool miles and ratings. Plus, Waze has been waiving the service fee ever since I started in May. The extra money in my pocket each month is wonderful. I highly recommend - great app!

The app may have some bugs, it saved me a lot of time and money, both as a driver and a passenger. It's like commanding a taxi while paying only a fraction of the price. As a driver, using the application allows me to recover all the fuel cost in exchange of a very short delay (max 5-10 minutes). In my opinion, one of the most practical and usefull app developed the last years.

The project is very interesting, even because it's integrated with Waze, but a thing that would be so simple is became worse and worse. Too many bugs, many trips can't be settled up. And now, just allowing to schedule one rider is the end. I am sure everybody wouldn't mind to pay a little fee to have a good service, but I lost the expectations. RIP Carpool!

Waze itself is a great app, with a horrible GUI. "Waze carpool" suffers from the same disastrous GUI. As a user I am immediately turned off by GUI mistakes, especially when I am left with no option but to get used to it. To carpool, I have to define a commute route. But I don't commute. I want to hitch a ride somewhere. The app should be called "Waze commute" in this case.

I have been using it for 2years and they just added the 3rd carpool option (need 3 people for San Francisco to get through the bridge). After a this time, theres still a lot of lag w the system. At times it doesnt even load and it's hard to contact my rider or driver in those moments. Need the bugs fixed. But still a better carpool app than others offered in the Bay. I appreciate the affordable pricing for riders but also the incentives for the drivers

The concept is amazing, absolutely necessary. The implementation, however, is sad... When it works, it really makes a difference. I've rode 60+ times. But it breaks twice a week. And hasn't worked for 3 days in a row (mind you, I've used other communication channels and rode with the very same riders...).

I love the concept of this app. I have been using it for a few months. But the last two weeks have been frustrating. Almost everytime I open it, it crashes. When it DOESN'T crash, even though I know I have matched with carpools, it will show I have no set carpools and that there are no one to match with. I will go to check my messages and that will trigger a crash. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting the cache, and contacting the developers. This is an accessibility nightmare.
