-Turn on the camera and open the camera WiFi.
-Use your mobile device to search the camera WiFi (Initial name is RUNCAM2_xxx / RUNCAM3_xxx, the initial password is 1234567890) and connect.
-Open the App, connect the camera and enter into preview.

My phone is running on Android 8.1. Alot of bugs when running this app in my phone. It always crashed at 1st startup & i still need to disable my mobile data just to get this app to be able to connect to my runcam 3s. If i enable the mobile data while the app is still running, it will crash again. You can try testing on Mi A2 & see the outcome or try testing on other phones that are running on a native Android One

My Runcam 2 4k camera came with an out of focus lens, piss poor instructions and a so-so app! Thankfully I'm working through the shortfalls and it's now working fairly well, although the microphone needs to have a sensitivity adjustment setting, as it's useless for recording anyone except yourself! A rating of 3.1 is a little generous l think?

I like the app, it works fine and looks good. Settings are constantly being added. Would be nice to have stabilisation settings. EDIT: It's disappointing that after three years we still can't change settings like stabilization from the app. EDIT: What I mean by stabilization is Digital IS that RunCam 2 supports. Right now I have to use TV out cable to set Digital... EDIT: Hi I've updated and now I have those options available in the app. Thanks for the great support RunCam! Rating updated.

Hope Runcam will soon give it the option to remove the gray external power icon on the OSD, in live video out mode. Later review..... Non of the about changes were ever made for the RC2 firmware. And with the latest update of this app. It has binding issues. Says its connected. But it will not. I may as well delete it. Least ill have 90Gb more memory for apps that work!!!!

I connected the Runcam2 4k to my android phone with this app via wifi. I only see two modes: photo and video. I've been looking and looking for the timelapse mode and cannot find it. I finally saw a youtube of someone using the app: they had a timelapse mode and others (not just photo and video). Also, there is no option to upgrade firmware in the main menu... How do I get all the options? I'm frustrated. Thanks.

Every time I connect app to camera, I have to do so manually. That means I have to go to WiFi, select "forget" the password, then run it again like the first time connecting. (And yes my location is on) As far as the camera goes, it stops recording after 5-10 seconds saying it can't detect memory card. I have a new 32g PNY memory card and have already updated camera to newest version and formatted memory card. If this can be resolved I will update my review.

Good app except you have to forget the network every time to get it to connect to your scopecam. Basically, the app always takes you to the wifi settings and expects you to have to setup the wifi connection. If your phone has already connected to the scopecam before, the app will fail to connect even if the phone is already paired. This means you must forget and reset up the scopecl connection every time, which is irritating.

Very buggy, lags terribly, range from cam to device must be within 10ft. If the app loses connection to cam during filming it will not pause or stop recording even once back within range. Inexplicably, Droid users must turn on wifi+location and turn off mobile data to make app work. The runcam2 is great and captures amazing video, the app just sucks.
