Multiple strategies to control your screen time, block apps and websites, and stay focused. Regain your freedom.Pause before opening apps or websites:
Take a moment before launching a distracting app. The wait time can increase with each use, helping you build intention — a technique also seen in apps like Opal.
Interrupt your scrolling:
Limit your time on distracting apps to short bursts so you don’t get pulled in. If you’ve tried tools like Opal, this approach will feel familiar.
Set usage goals:
Define daily limits per app — and optionally block access when you hit your target.
Customize by day and time:
Flexible settings for different days of the week and hours of the day, tailored per app.
Mindful prompts before opening apps:
Messages like “Is this important?” encourage reflection — a small but powerful habit, also appreciated by users of focus-first apps like Opal.
See only the screen time that matters:
Track your time on distracting apps only. Productive tools like Google Maps won’t distort your stats.
ScreenZen uses Accessibility permissions to block websites.

Massively helped my instagram addiction, I found other time limit apps didn't really work for me. I'd get to the time limit in one sitting and then turn it off. The way ScreenZen splits it into a number of timed sessions really helped and the ability of adding a splash screen when opening the app was a game changer. I had such a bad habit of opening instagram by default when I went on my phone and this massively helped. I'm on day 100 of not exceeding my set limit thanks!

I've used this app for a long time successfully but recently it has become very glitchy. Even with my settings set to unlock an app for 7 minutes, it throws up a block screen every minute or two while I'm using an app and exhausts an entire day worth of unlocks in 5 minutes of browsing. Unfortunately there's no way to submit a bug report without doing a screen recording, something that includes a *lot* of personal information.
Very well
Out of all apps with similar goal, this is the only one that actually sticked. I'm using it almost for two weeks and my screentime reduced drastically. The streak count is another great thing, because of it I don't feel motivated to just change the settings.

Downloaded a day ago and I love the app, it's really easy to customise per app or per app group. You can customise how long you have to wait before a particular app can be opened and then how long you get to use it and how many times you can do that per day, you can also set a full ban on an app. So I'm really happy with it and as the app is free I'd suggest you download it and if you like it then tip the developer as they deserve to make money for such a great, functional and easy to use app!

Pretty great at what it does. It's not forceful, it just makes you think for a second if you REALLY want to doom scroll. The answer is always, actually no. It also has some more forceful features for the people that need them.

its a really great app but id like if it didn't have the quick disable option in the settings because it defeats the whole purpose of blocking apps i could just go and keep disabling or maybe atleast have the option to remove it for willing users

Easily the best app I've found for controlling my social media/YouTube usage. A high level of granular control over each app/website and the timeout on changing settings has made this work for me where other apps didn't. One big minus for me is that it often takes a few minutes to detect that I'm using a blocked app/site, particularly after having been idle. It seemed to struggle with Firefox especially, so I deleted that browser entirely. I'm using a Pixel 6 with Android 15.
Someone somewhere
Honestly this is the best, most affordable screen mobile time management app in existence. It's super simple and does everything you need it to without paywalling all the actually useful features. Even now that they are about to monetize it, it's for simple, non-essential features like a pic for the lock screen. I originally thought (although I'm pretty sure it did happen) that some apps like YouTube weren't being locked after the time was up but it seems that's not the case
