App no longer connects to my server. I can log in and it even lets me create a new library in the app that shows up in the WebUI in the browser. But the app will not show anything, gives a constant "Error when loading libraries" message. Cleared cache, logged out, uninstalled. Nothing has fixed this...

The biggest waste of potential in cloud computing. Seafile is fast... That's it. It is the most streamlined, reliable service for the task of downloading and sharing files but it does literally nothing else. You can't even search for files, you can't even sync files automatically unless they're taken by a camera. The most basic functionality of free adware programs here on the play store trumps Seafile at full throttle and at that level I'd just suggest grabbing Syncthing. Disappointing.

Worked fine for years, now stopped working on Android. If I reinstall it, it works for a day or two, but then it doesn't show my libraries and files again. So I reinstall each time I need to down or upload things from my phone again. Sometimes works longer with an older apk when I don't update.

Seafile itself is a great delta-sync application. But like other reviewers there's a missed opportunity here. They could do 2-way synchronization of files (like AutoSync, SyncThing, or FolderSync Pro do) but instead they limit the auto-upload feature to 1-way and for photos only. I've ended up using Syncthing in combination with Seafile to sync my android device with my other devices. But feels incomplete to have to use a separate app for what this app should have.

I am self hosting seafile and it's working great . It's very snappy and responsive when viewing pictures and videos both from the webui and from the app, even when hosted on a VM with limited resources. I am giving four stars because it's missing albums functionality . To replicate albums it's required to duplicate the files between different folders which isn't optimal.

Such I shame I have just found this app and seems very useful and easy to backup photos from phone. Though I have downloaded it just as like everyone else the app no longer works, I can't get it to upload anything from the phone onto server side. Might have to start looking for a new app if doesn't get fixed soon.

I am self-hosting seafile on a dedicated server. The client still works well on a laptop (Debian testing), but breaks on my mobile with the symptoms that other users described before me (cannot transfer libraries). For me, this happens on Android 14 and 15beta while an on an older phone (Android 10) things still work.

One "retry button" on the transfer list menu would be great helpful!! As sync does have a problem sometimes, Clear cache/data could help a while. But with retry button. Everyone will make this easier to use especially when uploaded cancelled/failed by it self.
