Needs a "restore to default settings" option. I fat-fingered something and I'll be damned if I can get it back to how it was. Great app for 90% of the things one needs a basic gallery app to do. An ability to crop images and resize pics would make it the best one for up until you need advanced Photoshop-type photo editing.

A Google user

I just found that I can't search for photos globally. I have to go in to the folder on where the photo was saved and then I search for the photo from there. It's odd and frustrating that you'd need to do that before finding what you need, when in the first place, you don't know where the photo is located. Hope if you can include that global search function. I have purchased the Pro version of the app. Thanks.

Tone

One of the best, if not the BEST, gallery apps that I have ever used. Firstly, it works smoothly, kudos to that. But secondly, unlike many other gallery apps, you get an insanely large range of customisation, categorisation, and design. From how you want your albums to be positioned to what colour you want the font to be in. Its brilliant. Besides that you get all the basic stuff that other galleries include, like an editor and in depth image details.

I just purchased the pro version and was quite disappointed at the video handling. First of all I am not able to use vertical gesture to change video brightness (kindly contact me if I did that wrongly), nor use the horizontal gesture. If the video duration is longer than 1 hour, 00:00 will be shown in the thumbnail. We should be able to set the orientation of video differently with the image, the setting was currently lumped under "media". Otherwise the picture handling is superb.

So many great features. However, when *only* cropping using the advanced editor (but thankfully not the basic editor), the colors of the picture are also modified, which makes the cropped picture less vibrant and less appealing. This has been an issue since I bought the app in 2021. Edit: The basic editor doesn't preserve date metadata! What a bummer both ways.

Has a LOT of excellent features and is quite intuitive to use; excellent ergonomics. HOWEVER, my Google Pixel6 update messed up one of the functions. When I tap on an image to go full-screen (to get rid of the navigation bar and image label, etc.) those items sometime refuse to disappear. The problem is intermittent. I love this app, but give it a 4 rating because of this issue. Not the developer's fault, but, to my knowlege, it hasn't been fixed.

The Greatest Leak Hater

An amazing gallery app, with a ton of customization and useful features. You can filter file formats (gifs, videos, etc...), you can order photos based on size, date modified, newest/oldest, etc... Photos, folders can be hidden. There is a "favorite" mark for photos. The order of folders edited in whatever way you want. The app colors are nice too, can be changed too. It has a recycling bin, which is immensely useful in case you accidentally delete a photo. And a bunch of other stuff. 5/5

Bao Bizi

Removing a star because it's a bit buggy for me these days, maybe because I have tens of thousands of photos. Hope they haven't stopped developing it. Overall a good replacement for your phone's built-in gallery app though. Does everything you want it to, plus more, and usually does it smoothly with little fuss. Easily worth the tiny price for the pro upgrade, though the old free version mostly worked fine too.
