It's nice to finally find a free app that will actually listen to your voice and put it down in a text message. It blocks or differs you f****** chosen words however, If you remove the word and spell it out on the keyboard, then press the word on your word bar. It will remember that for the next time you use it 😉. I know who i'm talking to and know if he/she would be offended with my choice of words so I don't need any outside help. I have not found another app like this one. I recommend 👍

I use this all the time, in 3 languages. Things I love: it auto-saves, there is access to the keyboard, and also (without opening the keyboard) to punctuation, carriage return, and backspacing; it recognises my languages and (mostly) correctly spells words; it's easy and intuitive to use; I can easily copy and/or share the whole text. Things I don't love: sometimes it's slow to switch to the microphone; it sometimes drops words; random capitalisation of words; you have to speak clearly and slowly for an accurate transcription, although it happily picks up comments from nearby; there's no undo/redo function and you can't backspace to delete single letters from a word for correcting--the backspace deletes whole words only.

It's simple. It uses Google's great text to speech engine and has a customizable dictionary. And, as gravy, it leaves the keyboard on so you can make quick corrections without turning off speech recognition. While it seems like any dictation/speech to text app used by its developers regularly would include these features, this is the only one that does. Bravo. My only complaint is that I can't pay for an ad-free version.

Exceptionally good voice to text. Instantly worked with my voice. No training of the app required. Nice! Would be better if it had a 'save as' feature and the ability to save files as docs, in the location of my choice, with titles I'd like to assign them. I'd pay for those extra features because this app works so well that it'd be worth a modest one time fee. I highly recommend this app and I don't as a rule, write glowing endorsements, if any. My appreciation of this app compels me to share.

It seems fine, but it censors swear words as if everyone using the program is a child. Not having the option to turn off this censoring is actually so annoying im going to look for another app.

My first opening of the app flashed an ad I found offensive. After 30 minutes I grew frustrated. It keeps shutting off on the middle of my speech! I had to restart an introduction 5 times! It also does not recognize any of the punctuation words and prints them out as literal text instead (ie, open and close quotes, parentheses, even colons and semicolons.) I use the web-version and never encountered as many issues with mishearing my words as I do with the app. Definately needs more work.

On PC as a free voice to text tool, it is the best I've found. Now will try for Android.

This app is very buggy and unstable. It does not have any auto save on a timed interval and instead on exit. The app will crash after you dictated to it for too long, and then you will lose all your unsaved work. Chances are, you will not be stopping talking to manually save your work, so it is likely that you will lose all your progress in a note. I would not recommend.
