Learning curve from DC 1&2. More emphasis on the happiness of citizens. Doesnt seem to give you ability to make hills or plateaus but does have a different way to create rivers. Did notice immediately that there are no names on any buildings which is completely different from the previous DC games. Overall, I like the game. It is a learning curve, but for the better. If they add names to the buildings like in previous DC games, I feel like it would be an improvement for the people playing.

My original review is missing. So far, this game is a huge letdown. It's bland, dull, & lacks interest. The buildings all look the same & there's nothing special. Other DC games gave us specific buildings, fire, police, education, types of homes, etc. This is like Aquatic City, and just as disappointing. Please make it more appealing, or I'll have to uninstall it.

Overall, a general improvement to the other games in terms of transport network and terrain. There seems to be more details put into the happiness of citizens. I don't really like the way all of the buildings have a barrier of greenery which pulls away from density in the early game. It has just been released so I'm sure future additions will add more variety.

Designer City was a great game. Designer City 2 was lame at best. Designer City 3 took the worst parts of 2 and amplified them. I had high hopes, and really tried to like 3, but in the end, Designer City 3 is a bare bones, basic, and uninspired version of any other city building game. If you want to build a unique, personal city - this is not your game. Every city looks the same. Some people have noted that buildings don't have names, but I feel the ability to name your buildings is a minor +

First Impressions, it's Great, Loving it so far. My only hang ups on it is the same as a lot of others. No building names . The other thing is, from my initial over look of everything, All the really cool neat looking items require Gold ( a lot) to get them. Which means real cash money to get more Gold in order to be able to have them just like the other games, I play the other games too and to show my support I do spend money on them. More to say but no room left to finish

I finally advanced to DC3. Totally fascinating. It is a learning curve from DC1&2, but enlightening all the same. The DC basics are still there that helps you progress to an all new level of fascination. Looks like the DC TEAM has done it again. When you step through the doorway into DC3, you're stepping into a new sense of adventure. I Like It.

It's alright. I love the mechanics and the realistic mountains. The roads and traveling. But the building all look almost exactly the same. One it's hard to tell what's what, and they're all the same shapes and colors which makes it pretty bland. And there's not much decor. Like statues and monuments like the last one.

Great game. In hopes of future updates to include some more variety for aesthetics. More - parks, landscape options (rocks, trails, flower & tree combos), footpaths, walking overpass, more 1x1 buildings in all RCI and others, waterfalls on mountains, more beach options, tourism options, on ramps for road to hwy that merge not elbow, one-way roads, Such a great game but find it difficult to really customize the look of your city vs others, need more color most buildings are silver/grey/boring
